The scene is set for us to lose today heavily. The PL wants Liverpool to win, Anthony Taylor is on duty. The mass media wants us to lose too.

Too many things are against us right now.

How does Mr.Taylor manage to get a lot of our high profile games??

No Lukaku today. I agree with TT.

🚨 Romelu Lukaku 'out of Chelsea squad' to face Liverpool via @OneFootball. Read it here:

Good decision... I hope the drama hasnt affected our squad too badly...

TBH I a not very confident about today... Mainly due to us not havin our star wingback duo.. Hope the 11 we put out grind a result out even if its a boring draw.

Tuchel is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

If he plays Lukaku he's seen as weak and undermines his authority as manager.

On the other hand if he doesn't play him we are much weakened for the Liverpool game.

Interesting to know how the club hierarchy see this situation. I think under most circumstances they would probably back the player, but I think because of the timing, the content of his comments and the cost of Lukaku, plus TT delivered the Champions League, TT is in a stronger position.

The league title is gone, so I can understand TT taking the gamble in order to shore up his authority.

I'm hoping this galvanises the players and fans today and we see a defiant performance. Liverpool have problems of their own, plus knowing the league is gone they might lose their edge.

You are here celebrating that the league title is gone. Why are you supporting Chelsea this season? If we were content with the Champions league that we won last season, then why did we go and buy Lukaku this season?

Agree with the club re Lukaku. Can’t give an interview like that and then play today, don’t know what crowd reaction would have been like and need a positive loud support today.

I would agree with dropping Lukaku if we weren’t so depleted. Pulisic up front does not work and I can’t see Havertz starting given how long he has been out. We do need Lukaku - he’s the only one that seems interested in scoring.

Off to the game in a while but as usual via the pub. Will be interesting to hear the reaction Lukaku receives if he plays. Hopefully there will be no barracking of him but I've heard abuse of players before. We can all remember the abuse Le Saux received when he threw his shirt to the ground. Have to say that Lukaku was a bit crass in giving the interview.

Today will be the first game where safe standing is officially allowed although those in the MHL have been standing since it opened. I know some people who are ST holders in the Shed Upper. Will be interesting to see how many stand in that part of the ground. I can't recall many in the Shed Upper standing throughout the whole of a match.

Come on Chelsea. WATP.

I don't think it was solely a Tuchel decision. The club did a similar thing when Kepa undermined Sarri. The timing is unfortunate but it lays precedence to the other players that they can't run their mouths off to the media not matter how expensive a player.

Dropping Lukaku is utter madness...our chances against Liverpool weren't good already given our injuries, but now we've taken out of the equation any attacking bite we had...

it's probably the right decision regardless of the outcome. Win or lose this game there is still a very slim chance of us winning the league. We are in Top 4 fight with Arsenal, Spurs and probably MU. As things stand this game won't be decisive for Top 4 although home games against Arsenal, Spurs would be. I think a draw is the most likely outcome today. Something like 2:2 but we also might win as well. If Leicester could then we certainly can. Liverpool collapsed last year around these times... they might be repeating that. Never know.

Dropping Lukaku for a 3-4 week old interview without full context is madness. TT’s comments didn’t indicate he was in that frame of mind either.

We’re in full self-destruct mode. I thought a wobble was coming during/after the United game, but we’re going to that horrible place again where we all know the outcome. Starting to feel a little like end of Jose first stint. Don’t like this at all.

So we won't play Lukaku today because he said something. Fair. Do we omit from the squad for how many games? This is exactly the type of thing that can further derail our season. If Tuchel gets too involved he might find himself out of work sooner than later.

Best case scenario is that we sell him this month for a decent fee and start again.

Dropping Lukaku is 100% the right thing to do. He needs to be sent a very strong message and his attitude adjusted. If it was me I'd ship him off to Germany/Spain/Italy at the earliest opportunity.

Anthony Taylor again huh? Ooooof. Not good.

Zero expectations for this one, Surprise me!

Absolutely madness,I don't give a sh*t what he said, just like a baby throwing toys out of his pram ,he should be playing 100%,Tuchel is coming down to his level which he shouldn't be.

The person we paid 100million for and is our highest paid player showed zero regard to the club and the manager. You can't just play him after that. The manager would immediately loose all credibility and Rom would continue to shout his mouth off and look like a complete unprofessional mercenary.

They needed to make a stand on this with zero tolerance. Anything else and it looks like the player has all the power and controls the narrative.

Mixed feelings today. My heart says I want us to win so bad but my mind believes the squad are not in the right frame to win.

Injuries, Covid, underperformance now possible mutiny. Oh my days

I’m a bit torn on it.

We would no doubt give Liverpool a game with Rom on the pitch and looking like some form again.

Dropping him shows that nonsense they can talk in the media can be more important than playing in a tough fixture.

If Tuchel can’t pick up any points today, then it could reflect back on him.

Where is the evidence to suggest there'll be a possible mutiny? I think most people in the team will know what Lukaku is like personality wise
