having watched a lot of his highlights he has great reflexes and good positioning but he does spill the ball a lot. He often will make a save but the ball will remain in a dangerous area. Certainly a very raw player who can improve a lot.

We mainly seem to find good keepers. Kepa is a top keeper but not 71m top he is not... anyway I feel we can find great keepers and defenders but not strikers.

I feel this guy can take Mendy's spot when the time is right.

Not good enough to replace Mendy now then?

No, he has no experience at this level.

Same things I noticed. The reflexes are there, now he just needs to work on keeping hold of the ball. You can't be parrying every save back onto the feet of Premier League and Champions League players.

Luckily that’s very much trainable. It’s mostly a habit. And it could be related to which gloves he uses. The reflexes are more inherent.

Handling seems incredibly sub par though, gets the save off but the vast majority of what i've seen he parries straight back into the danger area. Our defenders best be on their toes.

I agree ... I don't think he is anywhere near Mendy or Kepa on the strength of that Youtube video ... or even Baxter, Bergstrom or Cumming come to that !

9 saves in a MLS game against one of the best teams, thats not to be sniffed at.

He's the best teenage keeper on our books by a long stretch.

Kepa is 27, Mendy is 30.

The kid got almost a decade ahead of him to develop and grow.

Heading to Cobham now for a couple of weeks and then US squad for world cup. Interested to see where he slots in for the squad and whether he becomes the u23 keeper for the rest of season.

Portsmouth it is!

I know you said it in jest but another team in that league (Plymouth) would be a really good move for him if they as is rumoured lose their star keeper in January (the one thay single handedly forced us into extra time).
