Let me say it again why buying all these strikers if you don’t use them as strikers.if you give all the penalty to Lukaku last season

(A striker role to take it ) he was almost 25 + goals not a bad season for being benched alot. Then Jorginho almost doesn’t had any contributions at all. You would save almost 70m + wages of Aub + Sterling. Use this money to buy a Creative midfielder …
keep rudiger and don’t buy fofana.

 

All our strikers will get fat for not working hard and it isn’t their fault either . Lukaku, Sterling and Auba make many runs but Kante, Jorginho and Mount wont make the passes. So now they don’t run anymore and you call them lazy😩

With Sterling leaving Qatar for a ‘family matter’, I can’t help but feel that whatever is going on, it cannot possibly be a positive in terms of his already uninspiring retirement at Chelsea.

I naively thought that Cobham and that area of Surrey was a relatively quiet/safe area from burglary. Has this ever happened before to any of our players?

It is. Most of these criminals are organised, travel in from Europe, and jump on the Eurostar once the job is done.

I would have thought footballers would invest in private residential security on a permanent basis. Let’s be honest anytime they are away from home, they are a target.

So England are trying to get back in to a world cup quarterfinal and Southgate decides Sterling is his best option? Has he not watched Chelsea to see this guy no longer has any passion for the game? He is retired in all bar actually hanging up his boots.

Really knee-jerk reaction and way too early to judge.

He definitely has passion for the game, otherwise he would have just stayed at City and had it easier as he would of got the same wages. Also he has not set the world alight but he already has scored more goals than Willian has in his whole season at Arsenal. 

The team has not functioned as a whole and we need to see an actual plan for the team, especially offensively. As bad as he has been, he is still our top goalscorer which sheds light on our current problems.

4yrs with an option of an extra year. Fack me just checked we are stuck with him till 2027. He is already in semi-retirement mode, and you can see the desire and hunger is gone. The signing was questionable because who leave a winning team for an also ran at his peak?

So weak on the ball. Never goes past his man. Tonight it was like watching a south american 18 year old thrown into his 1st game in english football, but with none of moments of flair that give you optimism. 

Didnt want him in the summer, never rated him. Still dont.

Sterling evidently is putting half arsed performances and until he is dropped we are going to see the same lethargic attitude.
