March 21Mar 21 In the region of £70-odd million. Not to mention signed ‘after’ a career changing injury. Absolutely insane really, incredible business by Leciester City, as had been the case for all the clubs we’ve dealt with.
March 21Mar 21 He should have been sold 2 years ago. Stealing a living based on the one good year at LeicesterWill probably get injured in the near future and we won't be able to sell him off. Ffs
March 21Mar 21 Can’t ever remember having such a strong dislike for a Chelsea player on a personal or professional level. The bloke, for me, epitomises everything wrong with this corrupt regime. The entitled arrogance of someone who’s at the peak of their profession but the ability of an absolute f**kwit.Hates a strong word but it’s very very close.
March 21Mar 21 Probably should be mentioned in the same conversation as Bakayoko and Drinkewater, an absolute fraud. Edited March 21Mar 21 by Dubair
March 22Mar 22 The way Beto sprinted past him, and he just put hands down and gave up once Beto got in the box was quite astounding. You got at least making a bit of effort to let the attacker feel a bit of pressure, and this is s not the first time we have seen that lately. It's either the injury has done him, or he's just giving up tools.

FfsNew squad to be formed beside the bomb squad: the bust squad. Lavia for all his talent will keep him company.

FfsExcept no-one would have bought him at that point, given his wage packet and injury history, not to mention the fee we'd paid to Leicester. It just turned out to be another horrible investment where the management gambled and lost big. Now we're stuck with his fragile body, his sh*t personality and his 200,000 a week until 2029..
March 22Mar 22 He’s never really felt like a Chelsea player to me. Unfortunate and bad injuries killed any availability and connection. Always felt living on a promise of a player we’ve signed. Well the reality is far from the promise. He has a great leap and reasonable on the ball, but that aside doesn’t really command the defense. The off the pitch stories are a distraction and creates a perception of arrogance and someone that doesn’t really care. So four years later this summer since he joined, he’s been underwhelming to say the least.
March 22Mar 22 His recent sh*t performances must have even @just thinking perhaps Badiashile isn't so bad after all!!

But you could take out Fofana and put prime Bobby Moore, JT or Franco Baresi in his place and they would all struggle in this system with this crazy "retain the ball at the back no matter what" tactic.I was one who was delighted we bought Fofana. Was very confident he was going to be a top drawer player. However, while I fully agree our strategy to win the 'most passes 25 yards from our own goal trophy' is going to make any defender look like an accident waiting to happen (what we call Ant McPartlin in a Ford Fiesta with a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20') I do think there is more of a fundamental issue with Fofana. He is a lazy defender. Too casual in possession without having the required elite skill to be that cocky and then not willing to bust a gut to put his body on the line if and when we f**k up. Easy to say we would love a JT now. Of course we would. But you'd always love a JT even if your defence is top class. With our defence I'd ve happy with a Grahsm Roberts.

And a Graham Roberts or Vinnie Jones type player is exactly the type of character monster and leader we could do with.

He was often too brave for his own good and IMO that was probably why he picked up serious injuries.

So maybe that has impacted his approach to the game as he now appears to play in second gear.
March 22Mar 22 For the record the horror injury Fofana experienced at Leicester was a broken leg (it was a horror tackle against Villarreal in pre-season, I saw it live). There is no reason to believe that he wouldn't make a 100% recovery from that.
March 23Mar 23 Don't think his drop off in form and laziness has anything to do with injury. Think that just comes with "I'm Billy Big bo**ocks playing for Chelsea and I'm on £200k per week no matter how I play".And of course he's French as well......................
March 23Mar 23 Doesnt care about the club, his insistence on jogging back when players go past him is just makes him look worse than usual. Another I'll celebrate and forget about when he leaves...
