Sorry but that is totally rewritting history even accounting for the cup win.

They were 16th at this stage of his first full season with something like 4 goals in 9 games.

They were awful and he was very lucky to not be sacked , but at least he had something tangible to point to with the cup win and that’s likely what saved him. Unfortunately I can’t see anything similar to point to with potter.

I think the club currently have 3 viable options when it comes to Potter:

1- Do nothing, wait until the end of the season. If he improves by then he keeps his job, if not you replace him in the summer.

2- Sack him now and get someone like Pochettino in, who may or may not be the answer long term, and therefore we could be re-doing this process 12-18 months down the line.

3- Sack him now, get an interim manager in until the end of the season which gives us plenty of time to evaluate and find the next manager. As we did with hiring Conte ahead of the 16-17 season.

Either way I think the writing is on the wall now. When your lucks out things continue to go against you. Zakaria going off injured and then Felix getting sent off 30 seconds later, just sums up everything that's going wrong ATM.

I keep saying we need to see something in the short term to make us think this is going to be worth it in the long term, I think we did see it in glimpses during that initial unbeaten run but ever since then it has been largely downhill. I also keep saying I want to see how he gets on once the key injured players return, but the more this form and these results continue the more I feel like he won’t be here once those players return.

I still like Potter, and still hang onto some level  of hope that he might turn this around, but we need to start seeing results and performances improve ASAP, otherwise the board will be forced into a decision.

Also side note, I love Tuchel but our fans singing for him achieves absolutely nothing. He ain’t coming back and he doesn’t owe us anything for the way he was sacked.

Bohley should sack potter and then sack himself at the same time

Anyone who is going to the bridge next game maybe make some chants of potter out or Bohley out? Let the media knows and out some pressure on these clueless fools who are running the club plzzzzzz

Thought you was hiring a plane to fly over the bridge?

I keep seeing you post this but what’s stopping you from getting to the bridge and protesting.

Not everyone is rich enough to watch the game, sorry but there are poor fans too

Most new managers at a club get a positive bump in results as they are a new voice. Not with Pecan Potter. We're bottom of the table in results since Oct.

So don't tell me its because our players aren't good enough. They aren't good enough to win the league. But they are plenty good enough to get results in the PL. And giving Pecan Potter 250M to spend all willy nilly in the transfer market would be idiotic. What has he done to deserve that responsibility. All the massive spending has done F all for this club recently. Potter would just end up misusing the newest batch of expensive misfitting players.

Everyone saying it's the players doesn't understand we don't use our current players correctly.

I'm sure he'd be very rattled. I'm not sure whether that would be before or after he's counting the money the same people gave him, or maybe while they're giving him more buying a pint or a hot dog.

 He'll be gone by Monday.

strength in numbers eh? pathetic!

No matter what peoples view is on Potter's future I've never seen a more u fortunate run of luck, Zakaria getting injured to add on to the other 10 first teams players out and then our best player Felix getting sent off is just so unfortunate. The only thing I'll massively question from this game is why when we went 2-1 down he didn't bring on Auba or Fofana and insist on bringing on midfielders and a donkey like Ziyech to try and win/equalise

This season has turned into a disaster, this team isn’t to good to go down and it’s hard to see were the next win is coming from. The team don’t like fit enough or understand what’s being asked of them tactically.

The constant changing of the formation isn’t helping last 3 games a back four then 3 tonight likely to be a 4 on Sunday as Azpis legs are gone.

I can’t see Potter being sacked anytime soon especially given his massive contract. I hoped TT was given more time but was happy to get behind Potter but the man looks lost the club is to big for him.

At this point, he just lost. From calling this is the most difficult job in the world, reverting to back 3 against Fulham without their main attacker, to not make a sub until the injury then 4 in the last 15 minutes. It's a sign he doesn't even believe his own method.   He badly needs a break, maybe James and Kante fit for next game, or Palace score a couple of own goals. Already had a crisis meeting, maybe a heart to heart chat with each player, who knows 🤐

But he won the FA Cup in his first season

He does seem lost. Maybe the heart to heart needs to be with the owners. If he does not believe in himself anymore, be honest about it. Not like it is a resignation, he would still get a lot of money if that led to the club parting with him.

Overstated. We finished top 4 ever since we have had Jorginho, Kovacic and Kante. Tonight we actually could see how much of a difference it is to have a real attacker in Felix, without him we look average.

We also finished always top 4 since Havertz arrived in 2020.

Pretty sure if Enzo would have played yesterday we would have seen a difference, while we looked average with the other mids previous games.

We surely have seen a difference with Zakaria or with Jorginho last couple of weeks.

But he won the FA Cup in his first season

So did Wenger when he was miles past his best (three times) aswell as the likes of Martinez, Rodgers and Redknapp. Extend to the other domestic competition and you'll find names like Souness, McLaren, Mcleish, Dalglish, Ramos and Laudrup.

It's nice in isolation but means little in the grand scheme of things.

As I alluded to above the cup win means little in the grand the scheme of things as proven but the other names mentioned who always won it.

When I fully "turned" on my opinion towards Lampard as manager here that cup final wasn't even in my thought process, I would have felt the same even if we won it (which we probably would have if Pulisic didn't pull up).
