October 8, 20223 yr Thought we played very well today. Lots of positivity going forward, playing with much more freedom. Could do with some more clinical finishing - would’ve been 3-0 at the break. This problem just keep persisting. Redemtion for both Mount and Dave is nice to see. Great examples of quality being permanent. I’d also like to give tons of credit to Trevoh. Impressive performance sporting in to a back four. This must be one of the first times he starts in this formation, at least in the PL. Koulibaly seems much more comfortable too. Don’t know if Napoli played with a back four or not. All in all a great game. Potter seems to know what he’s doing. I’d love to see an English manager in the top of this profession. Will probably be the first since Clough in that case.

I think TT lost the locker room. I like TT, but I think he lacks the soft skills to keep a team playing their best. Every player save for Silva looked like they stopped giving that extra 10% that is critical to win.

He constantly played guys out of position and had no set offensive scheme. Potter is going to be much, much better. Chelsea is going to be much more dangerous with this guy. October 8, 20223 yr I've felt a bit of a disconnect with the club since Tuchel got sacked, I think it has been tough with so much change over the last 6 months. Last 2 games have been great, Potter seems to have instilled some confidence, and even though it's not too different to what we have seen under Tuchel, I think he has made some tweaks that were needed to see us be a bit more creative. Everyone played really well today, the finishing was poor though in the 1st half, but we attacked and defended as a team. Azpi, Mount and Gallagher were excellent, Chalobah and Koulibaly solid, Kepa reliable. Havertz and Pulisic didnt have outstanding games, but scored which is what is required. Made up for Broja to get his 1st goal, I thought he was let down 2 or 3 times with bad passes that shouldve given him chances, but he took his goal extremely well. Actually looking forward to the next game now, which hasnt been the case for a while.

Boehly/Clearlake probably would have been willing to do the same. A player of Haaland's quality is a once in a generation opportunity I think we really missed out on him. The amount of jersey sales will probably make up for his wages too. Edited October 8, 20223 yr by Frankie8Lampard

Even with bad performances the amount of chances we create today must mean one still gets a goal. As I was saying. Tbf to Pulisic, when he starts he does generally score.

October 8, 20223 yr Fairly routine win, Wolves were very poor. Just what we needed to build the confidence and rest players. Hopefully get some squad players into form as we’ll need them. Things are definitely looking up and top 4 looks much better. That win vs AC Milan felt like “lift off”. Potter seems to be working his magic

October 8, 20223 yr I've heard he has a minute ratio of how many goals we score during, obviously the 3 minutes today meant he went twice!
October 8, 20223 yr Well, before the game I was pushing for not much rotation. So of course I felt fairly sceptical when the lineup came out, especially about formation. Fair play to Potter, he felt this was the right moment to do it and he got it absolutely right. Another dominant performance from us, Wolves were pretty poor and it looked like a routine win with some of the starters getting a rest. We couldn't have asked for more. Happy for the goalscorers, hopefully their confidence will grow after today, just like the confidence in general is growing in this team right now.

Not sure I agree. We spent almost 100mil on Lukaku so I'm sure selling a few players would have been enough to fund the Haaland transfer. Also, I think with a bit of negotiating we could have convinced him to come. People forget that we were a very attractive destination last summer. We were just coming off the high of winning the UCL and several people were touting us as the team that was going to finally break the four-year hold City and Liverpool had had over the League or at least challenge them.
