Done more in 3 games than Fofana in 8 months unfortunately.  That partnership is a good prospect though (as Silva won't go on forever!)

 

Him and Colwill, we are sorted long term for the LCB position.

A bit raw in some of his decision making both with and without the ball but you can see the potential.

Slowly becoming my favourite defender. 

The scary thing is he’s 21 and from what I have seen worth every penny. He will get massively better and he’s not slow either.

Hopefully he has a good track record for recruiting managers as well.

Mistake leaving him out of the CL squad. Should have left out either Mudryk or Felix.

I don't think we should over react to him being left out the CL squad.   I think he is immense and will be a rock at the back for years to come, but its about the long game.  Truth is we have an abundance of options at the back with Fofana returning soon, and while it is fair to say none other than Silva are performing at the level of Benoit, the midfield and attack do concern me.

Enzo and Mudryk (after Liverpool) were no brainers for me, and I completely get why Felix is also included.  

It is a shame, but he'll be raring to go for PL games!

True, and I know each has had limited game time, but Badiashile us the only Janaury signing to do his job properly in every appearance, closely followed by Enzo.

Unfortunately when we go back to Koulibaly for Dortmund I think we will realize that was a huge mistake. Enzo had to be in the squad, Felix/Madueke/Mudryk and Badiashile should have been 2 or 3 imo. Badiashile earned his spot I think.

I actually get the decision. Whilst we have been impressive all season at the back, and more so since hes come in, our main issue is attack. We can keep all the clean sheets we want but all that seems to lead to at best is a draw.

We really needed both mudryk and felix playing to stand any chance of being effective upfront. Also imagine one got injured and the other wasent selected, we are doomed. As much as Koulibaly or chalobah will be a downgrade, our defense and goals conceeded are generally still good, and therefore barring a total disaster we should be able to rely on the rest of the defenders to put in shift.

My biggest issue that if he isn’t playing then there is a higher chance of the fraud KK playing instead

Crazy he’s not getting a look in! 
identified as a position we needed to strengthen, a left sided centre back.

looked pretty assured and comfortable in the games he played without being spectacular but definitely showed promise for his age. 
replaced by KK in the champions league team but then for some reason not even back in for his share of league games after. 
KK gets injured and you assume he will now get a run but nope we prefer to play other players out of position like Chalabah last night. 
Certainly could have done with his height and physicality last night that for sure!

One of the few bright sparks. So of course, leave him out for Chalobah.

Defence was a rock when he played so obviously he doesn't get played after that. In these dead rubber games we should be playing him and Fofana to build a partnership together for next season. 

That last window was utterly insane. Won’t use this lad, won’t use Fofana and can’t use Santos. And we’ve barely used Mudryk and Mudeke too. Oh and the lad that is still in France. At least Enzo has played, so only a 90% transfer screw up!
