Benoît Badiashile joins Chelsea

Not been at all impressed with the lad and just read a rumour piece that Marseille are interested, but he has said he's staying.

We really really do need to start shifting a few dozen of the players we've collected, but if they are all refusing to go, it's a big problem. We'd better not sell Chalobah and keep Benoit, but I fear we will.

Was hoping we would be moving this guy on, shocking centre back, cannot stand him. Had a couple of good games, which originally gave me hope, which soon faded into nothing.

At some point we are going to need to discuss this guy properly, missed 45 games since he joined us totalling 456 days being injured. Not sure if this is a blessing as he is a shocking defender anyway, but where do we go from here? We are totally missing reliable and quality centre backs.

It’s a blessing, he does less damage when he’s injured. Biggest liability in the squad.

games gone woke, bring back two footed tackles ending in a handshake and playing on!

Exactly, what's not to like about a studs up attack on the shins and achilles heels? Snowflakes, all of them.

Conveniently gets injured at the time every window opens until it closes. Think this time his return is expected early September. Yeah, righto.

Exactly. there was a time when the likes of Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall, Fofana wouldn't dream of taking to the pitch without shinpads on. Bloody jessies

Next thing you know everybody is gently patting each other on the head after being handed the ball.

I thought he was one of our better players tonight.

Must admit, didn't watch the game last night, but on hearing that Badiashile was one of our better players, it conjures up how bad we must have been.

How did Badi play?

Very well. Calm and solid on the ball. Always thought there is a player in there, just needs to get a good run in the team and stay fit. Looks to me like the kind of player that would absolutely kill it in a solid defence. Similar to Arsenal's Gabriel who started too look like a top player after Arteta consolidated that defence and made them a total unit. Up until there he had lots of clown moments to be fair.

I would liken him to Cahill, with a very good vocal centre back with him, he improves immeasurably. Concentration

always seems to be his main problem. Last night he definately seemed to be on it.

Agreed.. he loses concentration often.. even last night he lost the ball in our half to simple passes.. hardly wins headers too..
