That is partly due to how we played football at the time. Imagine if Cahill was playing as high as a line as we are now. If Disasi was asked to camp inside our own defensive box he'd probably read the game at a similar level to Cahill.

Go back and watch the basic concentration mistakes Diasi has made this season, all of it has happened when we are defending around our box. Oddly enough the mistakes he makes highly up the pitch are ones of his own making such as playing a bad pass or taking forever to control the ball. It's rarely due to poor defending per say.

I mean when asked to defend the box against City he was pretty spectacular. I honestly think the bulk of Disasi's errors came from individual mistakes whilst high up the pitch and being easily dragged out of position whilst still in a high line.

Not disputing he has solid games. I'm quite confident it's the opposite, it's just we get punished more by the high line (Not his defending specifically, just the high line in general) than the mistakes he makes when defending the box.

Has an error in him now and again, but needs to be partnered with someone more imposing before he can take the reigns himself. Reminds me of a Rudiger imo, similar style and suited to be the B side centreback. Can have some great games, but some horror mistakes also in there. Not to mention both of them are pretty tanky units
March 24, 20242 yr Why do I read this guy is one of our better players, ‘Scuse me’, he is one of the most one dimensional players to wear our Blue, if he receives the ball in space he doesn’t step fwd or try to pass through the lines, and 99% of his out ball is to Gusto or that Right sided player, a predictable 10-15 yd pass, and his decision making is woeful, ie his ridiculous OG…

May 21, 20242 yr Disasi's like a bull in a china shop most games, charging around with eyes wide, veins pumping, and screaming at the crowd every opportunity. All that's missing is the ring through his nose.

August 17, 20241 yr Is said to be considering his future and may ask to be sold before the window closes.
August 17, 20241 yr Just now, Zeta said: Ok with me. Though I'd have Badiasielle out before him. Agreed. He missed pre season injured and am left wondering if it is that Marecsa does not rate him and has told him so or the Enzo incident has soured him on Chelsea? Either way if he got will be hard to break even on his remaining 32mill book value.
August 17, 20241 yr Hopefully doesn’t spend too long considering it and does just ask to leave. The fact we’ve had Desailly, JT, Carvalho, Silva, the list goes on and we were left with Disasi & Badiashille last year shows the heights the club has fallen from.
August 17, 20241 yr He should be on the Chilwell boat if not fitting the managers system. Can’t play sweeper and is a tragic outside CB. Just a bloody average CB and it makes me sick I ever compared him to Cahill.
August 18, 20241 yr Can he take Badiashile too? Can we also keep Trev now, send the brothers of destruction off to train with the kids.
August 20, 20241 yr Wouldn’t be upset at all if both the Monaco pair were to leave. Don’t rate either of them in the slightest.

August 20, 20241 yr Might be a smokescreen to send a message to Palace but you never know. I don't really rate Disasi so I wouldn't be upset if we sold him. We should now turn our attention to Marc Guehi instead, at least we wouldn't have to pay the full asking price.

We still might, we have a matching clause/first refusal ie Palace must accept any matching offer from us over other clubs, but Guehi is free to reject us

August 21, 20241 yr With Andersen going to Fulham hopefully this means Palace remain firm with Guehi and Newcastle turn to Disasi
