Pep is a better manager. You don't expect them to both have same impact from the bench in game. Gusto was forced off and also city didn't win because they were brilliant. If Petrovic played the ball to the left where Mudryk was calling that chance never develops.

But let's forget all that, I know I have backed Jackson and continue will do so because I think he is young and still developing, but he could have score or had a hand in at least 2 goals in first half.

Poch got it right. His strength is not in game changes but imagine Harry Kane rather than Jackson, do you not think game is won in first half and a couple more insurance goals in 2nd before any of Pep's changes?

Saying he isnt good at in game changes or Pep is the better manager is an excuse IMO. If he isnt good at that then maybe we should start considering whether he is the right man for the job. Because there are going to be a hundred more games over the next few years where in game changes will be important.

No, if Palmer doesn't score, we lose, or draw. Putting the blame on Enzo is just using him as a scapegoat. Who was the player that messed up 3 easy chances? That is where the blame lies.

Nope. Our Argentine manager forces him into the side every time with countryman allegiance, due to this we end up with Conor on the f**king wing and our preferred starting 11 turns to sh*t

Players and that Argy mug will be on the beach now for sure. Instead of a cup final and a big push in the league I guarantee we will see more of the same extremely disappointing and frustrating football culminating in nothing positive at all.

We don't have goalscorers in this team, except Palmer. let alone a proper striker. In previous teams we had Hazard, Pedro, Willian, Lampard besides Drogba or Costa who had good goalscoring records and contributed regularly. Even from very good scoring positions we manage to make such mess that is not even embarrassing anymore.

Well, there goes our season.

Yup. Coefficient gone now Europa/trophy too.

Best we can hope for his finish in a Conference League place but the fine we will receive for participating (breaking UEFA guidelines) is arguably greater than even qualifying.

Thiago looks crushed.

Played his heart out today and this was his last chance of silverware before he leaves us...unless he hangs around as a coach.

Yes. We might be better off missing out on a Euro spot for next season. Need to sort out the fitness of players before we can cope with the extra matches.

Goals win games, we don’t score enough from our chances we create

In game tactics change matches, we aren’t pro active enough

We haven’t played badly, again we’ve matched the best but that isn’t enough at this level. You have to take your chances

Turning into winners again is going to be a hard slog.

Our preferred starting 11 turns to sh*t? I don't think you have noticed, but that starting 11 with Gallagher in midfield has been sh*t pretty much all season. The Everton game is the only game all season where it worked without any flaws.

If Jackson takes his chances today, you wouldn't be complaining about the midfield.

Forget Harry Kane, if we had Paul Mullins out there instead of the hopeless Jackson we win this game.

Can someone handle the MOTM thread please? I’m at the pub and my phone is about to die.

Could just skip it TBH.

One of Winstanley or Stewart need to go. Genuinely.

We are financially f**ked AGAIN!

The point is that no one is perfect, not even Pep whose achilles heels was over complicating or over thinking things and making a muddle of it all at the final stages of cup competitions.

Over the last two seasons he seems to have gradually come out of that weakness.

In all the big games we have played this season, we have never felt like oh they absolutely battered us. More like we should have won or won more if we didn't get let down by the players.

If Poch was 100% ever aspect, he wouldn't be our manager. I backed him before he was appointed, have been frustrated by his game management and said once maybe he shouldn't be our manager if he can't manage games properly but when I shorn all emotions and rationally analyse things, he's done well with all he's had to deal with especially with a team that most of them are first time in the EPL and have not even come from teams outside the league that have been known as serial or sure winners.

There's a reason why managers like Mourinho and Conte want experienced players. Clue.... They won't do a Jackson or Disasi.

Pep and even Klopp can manage kids but they still mix it up with experienced heads. The owners hamstrung us in that way. At least short term. Long term, it will work but they ignored short term which a club like Chelsea also need to pay attention to.

This was not directly on Poch.

This was mostly on Jackson for a hatful of horrendous misses, and a corrupt ref/VAR who somehow thinks it is within the laws of the game for Grealish to play volleyball when defending a free kick.  We were cheated by a fraud of a ref/VAR official, and cheated by a fraud of a striker.

My complaint is, why the f**k does Poch keep playing Jackson, who is clearly, oh so bloody clearly, so rubbish.
