Unfortunately I think it's inevitable that he ends up at RM, but let's hope that like Hazard, we get a lot of good seasons out of him beforehand.

I think there's no doubt they would. The reality is if he's worth 120m at 18, he will be worth more at 22. That's all they'll see.

Especially considering he'd still have a lot of money left on his amortised fee. So it wouldn't even be that big a profit.

Too soon to worry about any of that.

Not to be a doom sayer but for as long as we have the Bald One in charge, players like Stevie & CP are a little bit wasted.

Don’t get me wrong they’re the 2 players who can get you out your seat everytime they touch the ball.

It’s just we play such a rigid boring ‘system’ they’ll never hit that dizzying potential they should whilst they’re here.

Stevie under Carlo in the NT looks lights out, CP under Poch, for us, was 10x the player he’s been since ‘Marescaball’ took over.

Players like Cucu & Pedro Neto will look better under this strict rigidity. Actual world class talents won’t as they can’t express themselves.

Highly doubt that. We all know how Madrid works; if they decide they want him, they will have started the groundwork already. Something strange popped up in the press before while he was still on loan at Palmeiras about the owners been happy he has doubled his value without kicking a ball for the team.

It’s reported he is on £30k/w on a 7 year deal, and his value has continued growing due to his exploits for Brazil. If we assume he is an £80m player now, no way should he be on those wages. As things stand he hasn’t done anything in a blue shirt to require a contract improvement, which the owners will be happy about. All Madrid have to do is to tell him not to sign an extension, and keep throwing in bids every summer till our lot budge. He is easier for Madrid to sign on a low contract presently, and will be expensive for our lot as things stand.

Dont doubt any of that, what peevs me off is the guy hasnt fully integrated into UK life or playing full time in the side and Madrid are starting the rumour mill and given our owners dell boy credentials, they'll take five players from Madrid's Academy and trouser 50 million. More likely now Our owner wont be able to sell overpriced tickets.

I think we will do well to hold him for two seasons was watching Brazil vs Senegal where he scored a decent goal and already the clamour is growing in Brazil that he is new generational superstar with that kind of following not sure we can keep him that long.

A couple of seasons ago many here were disgusted with clubs including ours wanting to join a European Super League we wanted our wet and windswept nights in Stoke yet how many in his first season would start him on a wet and windy night in Stoke?

He's playing against Tunisia, so definitely won't be starting against Burnley now.

So frustrating that we need to "protect" our players just for them to go on international duty and play every game.
