December 8, 20241 yr Been surprisingly good since signing without being amazing either. Definitely a bargain at that price if he can keep this up though.
December 9, 20241 yr I didn't realize he was technically this good. Close control, dribbling and playing in tight spaces is great. Bargain.
December 9, 20241 yr Nice to see him back in the goals. You only have to look at his output in the first Dortmund spell to see what he is capable of.

Think he was misprofiled at united as a speed merchant, probably why it didn't work out for him. He's probably the slowest of the 4 but similar to palmer his touch and thought process is well ahead. I actually think he's a far better option for low blocks

December 9, 20241 yr I like him, I like his game, his attitude and seems really happy to be at Chels. He keeps this up and he can definitely make it back into the England squad! Well done sancho!

Willian, and Pedro, did not get the respect due for what they did for us (myself included with Willian). We had a better team then, but they were very important parts of it that would often be lost in the shadow of Hazard, Cesc and Costa.
December 9, 20241 yr Willian had that annoying habit of recycling the ball vs trying to create something in the box. Sancho always looks to create something.

Off the ball Willian was pretty much as good as you can realistically expect an attacking player to be. Plus he has the song of course.

You would see him pick up the ball on the half way line and take players out with a quick dribble, close control of the football and immense pace.....then he would stop. I never really understood it and it always frustrated me.
December 11, 20241 yr From all the vids on youtube and the post match stuff, it looks like him and Palmer are becoming close mates.
December 11, 20241 yr He seems genuinely happy at Chelsea which is probably a massive thing for him. I don’t think I saw him smile too often at Utd. Keep him happy and he’s an absolute bargain. Remember Dortmund wanted £107 million the window before Utd signed him for £70 odd million. He offers something completely different to our other wingers so he’ll get regular minutes.

December 16, 20241 yr More and more confident with each gameweek. Palmer and Sancho for 65M is mad business.

December 16, 20241 yr I feel like he struggled a bit last night. Then again he didn't stop plugging away.

There was a moment where he should've dinked the keeper but other than that I thought he was superb. Madueke too. Brentford were always going to give our wingers trouble given their set up.
December 16, 20241 yr He should have had an assist. Jackson missed an easy chance. He is still very young so a brilliant piece of business

I think the word 'struggled' is really the wrong word for simply not having blown anyone's socks off while doing an extremely efficient job and absolutely looking the great footballer he is. I watched the whole match again this morning with the luxury of knowing we would win, and his performance, and the team performaces all around the pitch were solid and creative against a team set up to stop us. Brentford are always a threat on the counter, but we bossed that match and everyone is starting to look they they know their roles, know their team mates, and understand their coach. I'm excited. It hasn't been like that for a couple of years now.
