January 25, 20251 yr I will be shocked if we win this game from here. Pep will make a change or 2 tactically and possibly player wise and Maresca will sit with his thumb up his arse thinking about how great Robert Sanchez is Edited January 25, 20251 yr by timetowaste

Yet another game where we had the early chances for a multiple-goal lead, didn't take them and it came back to bite us in the ass. The scriptwriters have become lazy. We let City dictate the game with that slow style. When we got the ball we had one idea.
January 25, 20251 yr I honestly don’t get this team. We pressed at the start and it caused their debutant to make an error and receive a booking, all within first 3 minutes. If we had sustained our press I’ll bet you that centre back would have been sent off by now. But no, we decide to sit back and let them play, while the debutant regains his confidence and he’ll probably see the game out comfortably. Clowns!
January 25, 20251 yr Let's start trying to play football again when the other team scores, rinse and repeat. Honestly pathetic at this point.

Not wrong about Jackson, but even when Palmer does manage to get the ball his passing and touches haven't been near his standard
January 25, 20251 yr How many times does this team take the lead then play like a team that’s 5-0 up with 10 minutes to go? They all piss me off

There's people that try to justify that his mistakes don't cost us so its okay but he's the worst goal keeper i've ever seen in a Chelsea shirt and it isn't close. Absolutely dog sh*t player and would be lucky to be third choice at any other club in this league. Cancel his contract and give his minutes to the kit man. w**k. Which is exactly what he was when we bought him from Brighton. I'm still trying to figure why Petrovic has more or less been discarded ?
January 25, 20251 yr Watching that half play out was the most Chelsea thing you will ever see. City started terribly, we score, we get another chance to score, waste it, we stop playing, give City the chance to settle down, they do exactly that, they get a bunch of chances, we continue to crumble, they score. It happens in every game, and Maresca just stands there.
January 25, 20251 yr 5 minutes ago, carrickblue said: apart from the fairly fortunate goal, we've created almost nothing These tactics of Maresca's are woeful. Killing the tempo and trying to play keep ball at the back with inferior quality and mentally weak players and a bomb scare of a goalie.
January 25, 20251 yr We get to watch another game of Palmer being nullified by the managers tactics and will he do anything to change it? Unlikely. He's managed to make the most effective young player in world football become a player that just switches the play to our wingers. Crazy.

January 25, 20251 yr City know they can win this. They want it more. You can see the desire and drive to get the result. We look like a bunch that arrived for a coach tour of the stadium.
January 25, 20251 yr Really poor on the right hand side. Noni and Palmer both having poor games and James is struggling with their new boy. We lack the mentality and composure to go 2 goals ahead and now we are probably gonna pay for it. We’re playing like a draw would be fantastic result. I honestly think very few players believe we can win this. Edited January 25, 20251 yr by 2211
January 25, 20251 yr You need your big players to step up in these big games and so far ours haven't done enough. Front 4 including Palmer, not doing enough to break quickly. Enzo and Caicedo barely put a tackle in all half. Back 4 done okay considering the tactical setup, which is a half hearted press, and a fairly high line, couldve been in trouble a few more times, saved by offside flags. Sanchez dogsh*t again, lucky not to concede from that spill. Not sure how this one plays out, wish would just go all out press tbh, as City look shaky, (agreeing with neville actually makes me sick).

It was a Bakayoko performance and we could have really pressed our advantage. But no, typical performance from us. Promising start, purposefully take all tempo and heat out of the game, let the opposition get a foothold, go on to lose the game.

January 25, 20251 yr Oh City’s equaliser is 100% on Noni. Lazy to not go up with the line to start with and then so slow to track back on Gvardiol. Unforgivable once again.
