He reminds me of John Stones. He'd be alright in a decent side where he doesn't need to defend, in a prime city side for example. Or maybe alright next to Van Dijk but he's not a top defender.

Expecting Colwill to become a top defender under these coaches is asking for a miracle. Maresca hasn't even identified the defensive errors as an issue, he accepts it because of how we play. The conditions are set up for every defender to fail because they aren't being coached to defend properly.

I think it's true in the Premier League era to be fair, although I know for a fact (I was there) that Pochettino beat us at the Bridge before becoming our manager. I assume Benítez did too at some point while he was at Liverpool.

You can bet too that having gone down 7-0 to Forest, Brighton are going to knock us out of the FA Cup at the weekend
