May 4, 20251 yr Massive credit to Palmer for ignoring Maresca's pre-match instructions on any penalty kicks. Pepillini wanted him to pass it back to Sanchez.

May 4, 20251 yr Very good performance, Palmer sublime, Lavia key , Caceido again very goodIt’s in our own hands now, we can’t ask for more

May 4, 20251 yr Decent performance from most, and more importantly, a better way of playing. We were noticeably more front footed today. This suits us...I hope Maresca learns from this.
May 4, 20251 yr Cole Palmer just swore on TV. Immediately realised and apologised. His response to interviews is funny. He defo needs a bit of PR training but I love it 😆
May 4, 20251 yr Author Well I did not see that one coming. Sure is nice to finally beat a top side in the league.Well Done lads!
May 4, 20251 yr Author Reading through the thread seems Trev had a pretty good game?@timetowaste I await you to correct that with how he was actually poor, not a real defender right? ;)

I played my lad at fifa earlier. 2 games of chelsea vs the dippers (we take it in turns to be chelsea).... during my turn with liverpool, Trev scored an own goal, gave away a pen, and got sent off. He was rubbish!Well done on the real life version though Trev....did well.

May 4, 20251 yr Good win and good performance even if it was against a hungover Liverpool. Putting together a decent run of form the last while , hopefully drive it home now. 2 more wins in the league and win the conference league and it’s not a bad season at all.
May 4, 20251 yr Big, big win. When Van Dijk, scored, I could of had a heart attack. My heart was pumping. This team really puts me through it sometimes. We did play Liverpool at a good time, yes but nevertheless the players done what was needed. I thought every player put a shift in. Jackson was the most frustrating tbh but Lavia, Palmer, Caicedo, Colwill and Chalobah was exceptional. Neto had a good game too. Cucurella did well too. Salah barely had a sniff. Massive game next week against Newcastle. If we win that, you would think that is enough to ensure CL qualification. Edited May 4, 20251 yr by STATS
May 4, 20251 yr Sanchez- Very good today in that he did everything right with no brain farts Caicedo- Rolls Royce.Trev- Got better and better as the game went on.Colwill - His best performance for quite some time.Cucu - Thought he was excellent and kept the best player in the league very quiet but got up the park to help the attack too.Lavia - Please give us a fit Lavia because he is so good. His forward passing is immense.Enzo - Really beginning to find his form recently Neto - good shift but end product is few and far between.Noni - Thought he was pretty good but makes the wrong choices too often.Palmer - was decent in the first half but just got better and better.Jacko - Usual head scratching stuff. Maresca. - credit where it’s due. We were set up correctly today although the defending of corners was a shambles.
May 4, 20251 yr Was ruing the final fixture run in, but it’s turning out a lot better than I thought. Hungover Liverpool, CL head to head vs Newcastle and Forest, and a pre Europa league final Man Utd B team.
May 4, 20251 yr Buzzing after the game! I thought that today we played well and it was the less Maresca-ball since before Xmas. Beating the victims feels so great, and it’s so Chels to go and spoil their party! Let’s build on this!
May 4, 20251 yr has MARESCA finally listened to the supporters?ORDid the players take it on themselves and decide enough is enough of the slow sideways and backwards football?either way we were more attacking (i know Liverpool were on the beach for most of the game), and everyone played well and played their partHopefully he allows the players to play the same football for the next 4 games, if he does i think we could finish 4th let alone 5thwith Santos hopefully coming, our midfield next season could be the strongest in the league
May 4, 20251 yr Good win but they were on the 🏖️. Appalling defending for Van dike header. Palmer looked better today and that bodes well for the last 3, Jacko is a 🫏. A proper elite #9, goalie & manager would imo keep us in the hunt next season but won’t happen.
May 4, 20251 yr Jackson’s attitude raises a red flag for the future, as we talk about him being a better ‘back-up’ striker, but seemingly he thinks he’s r9 reincarnated, sulks and reacts when coming off too, even when he’s clearly having a bad game. Concerning. Of course Virgil left a foot on Lavia, he was signalling to come off earlier, Maresca held on, HOPEFULLY he’s fine. It’s funny because these ‘bigger’ games we’ve got suit us, IF we’re the ones doing the transitions. So maybe there is hope after all, still so much to do though.
