Hmmm ...Done all their business already without overpaying, nor loads of toing and froing

June 10, 20251 yr Didnt want Cherki - so not fussed about him going to Citeh. Strikes me as a 2nd tier player - more Ben Arfa and Payet than Hazard or Robben.

Don't think we'll go for either Williams (wages) or Leão (price+age).Remember being "linked" to Yildiz at Juventus, or one at similar age is Nusa at Leipzig.@Valerie Any info on Noa Lang? Probably isn't a target or even good enough (also "too old"), but I remember watching him once in a while and thought he could do a job in the PL.Kudus & Semenyo; you put this obsession with right footed left winger aside, and you could shift either Neto or Madueke permanently to LW, and sign Mbuemo. Gittens won’t be coming in as a starter anyway, and requires a lot of development. Shouldn’t even be an option if we are a serious club.

June 10, 20251 yr Lavia, Palmer, Delap, and now gittens It looks like we are really trying to incorporate more academy player to be more specific, city's academy.

June 11, 20251 yr Is he actually any good though, both Sancho and Werner looked like world beaters in the Bundesliga

Dont over spend again. On the Maignan deal don’t stick to your guns pay what is necessary to get the deal done. The directors don’t know what they’re doing.Positivity not allowed. There is a difference between spending money on France's first choice goalkeeper who'd be replacing Robert "Pass the ball to the first opposition player you see" Sanchez and spending it on yet another unproven youngster no one had heard of before.Mind you I personally wouldn't get either, we have plenty of players as is.

June 17, 20251 yr Author Well he didn’t start for Dortmund today, maybe because of the transfer debacle but from his small cameo appearance I’d rather bring Chucky back. Looked better in the same amount of time they were both on the pitch.Been linked with their keeper in the past. He made a tremendous double save.Tiago Silva looked his usual best.
June 19, 20251 yr What is this obsession with City academy graduates? Are we trying to organize a reunion? I know Joe Shields has some influence behind the scenes but hitting the jackpot with Palmer doesn't automatically mean every City youngster will be a success. What other club is even interested in Gittens and why are discussing some crazy amounts given how little he's accomplished so far? Overpaying for a proven established top class player I can understand. Paying over the odds for potential time and again is lunacy.

You watch his highlights and he has acres of space to exploit in the Bundesliga, he isn’t going to get that in PL especially playing for a top team.

June 24, 20251 yr Was the Garnacho story brought up again to make us grateful that we aren't signing him?

Gittens is the type of player you sign when you already have a LW in place, that is around 29 or 30, starting to reach the end of their peak. Somebody you need to replace your current left winger in a few years time.3 hours ago, DarkMata said:Honestly don't want this one to happen but if the alternative is Garnacho sign him up now!Don't be shocked if we go for both of them. Pointless. To make it even crazier, we are doubling his wages from £50k/w, to around £100k/w. How does that even happen when we are competing against no one for his services. For a player that has never scored 10 league goals, he cost more than Doue, Kvaratskhelia, & Cherki.
June 25, 20251 yr Don't know why the club is so insistent on this guy. 7 years?? The only player on the wing that deserve 7 years is Hazard!
