What other options? False nine ? Nkunku? Who has looked worse than Jackson

Neto/Palmer/Sancho/Noni/Guiu/Tosin/George etc

Nico does not To start after his petulant behavior at Newcastle.

And we face a side from La Liga who is sixth in that league that has a massively experienced side with an excellent coach. That team won Real Madrid and drew against Barcelona this season for example.

People here and in many outlets have arrogantly stated we should walk the cup, we should sack the coach if we don't win it and other drivel along those lines.

And we find in the final there is a pretty good side and it is not a least bit surprise if we lose the final.

How would you then rate Conference League? The journey to there we faced lower level sides, yes but to walk to the trophy.. people are delusional and live in the past.

Hopefully we play great and win the cup. I think the players would absolutely love it. Me too!

I have differing views from a number on here. Maybe it's an age thing, having experienced both extremes with the club as far as success is concerned. My reasoning for much of the critical comments I make on here are because I want to enjoy the product. I have despised some of the tactics and style employed by us for the last few years. I would genuinely take entertainment over success if I couldn’t have both. I do believe that you can obtain both though.

Having said that finals are all about the winning and that never gets old, nor can the value be dismissed. Winning this game is massive for the club, the players and the manager. For this version of Chelsea this is virgin territory, in that you are right. Not only will it act as a confidence booster for all of these young players but its another item ticked off the list for Maresca, proving that he is capable of winning silverware in a one off cup final.

Come on Chelsea, let's do this.

KDH & Tyrique have performed well in comp to date , reckon both of them could start w Jacko up top - only viable threat, had a good outing in his last appearance in the semis, better than a false 9 he will stretch betis defence. Neto & Madueke would be the stronger selection. Palmer has to start imo Enzo & Caicedo midfield, James Tosin Colwill Coocoo, Jorgensen.

Giui should get the nod ahead of Jackson. But it won't happen. Maresca will bring his dream striker straight back in, and he had better deliver for once!

I don’t care if they bore me to death, I don’t have a problem with fringe players who have performed to get us here making way for the final. It’s about the club, it’s about winning. Lost to many cup finals recently.

Come on you blues.

Strangely the least confident I’ve ever been going into a European final.

2012 it was a big game and Drogba was in the lineup, enough said.

2013 we had Super Frank coupled with Mata having a magical season.

2019 Eden Hazard.

2021 you just knew Pep would outthink himself.

2025… Palmer has been tactically nullified by our own coach, we have no recognised striker, massive inexperience throughout the squad, a style of football that will play into the hands of Isco & Antony. Are we solely relying on Caiceido being impenetrable and some Reece James magic?

After tonight I could be able to say that I have seen my beloved club win every UEFA competition at least once. I want to be able to say that. This football club has had a winning culture and mentality my whole life, and we need to make a return to those standards ASAP. CFC's ehtos has at times helped me to hold myself to a higher standard as a human being when I have felt low and that means the world to me.

I acknowledge that I have had such a privileged time as a supporter growing up in our greatest ever era. I wouldn't swap this club for any other in the world and I will follow us for the rest of my life no matter where we go.

This match has really sparked something in me and there is so much riding on it that I can't put into words. I have never felt so nervous before a final and it's a strange feeling to me. We simply have to win it to prove the world wrong. COYB!

My mum is 90 in September, I thought she might make more of an impact.. At least she won't being the other players down or get sent off.

It's a European Mickey Mouse Cup, yes, but I want Chelsea to win it. It's not in our trophy cabinet and we want it to say we've won it all. it's going to be difficult game, probably the most difficult in the run to the final. Betis are a good team with experience and strong players. Our players have little experience of winning trophies but, with the same grit showed on Sunday, they can do it if they put in the effort they put in the second half at Forest.

Guiu hasn't played for months, what are you on about? Can't just bring somebody back from injury and start them immediately.

I'm on about the better, harder-working, more aerially proficient, more natural striker, should start. What is strange is that you cannot grasp that.

It’s a Micky Mouse cup but ironically Prem 4th v La Liga 6th. Compare that to the superior Europa. Prem 15th v 17th!!

I want the club to return to the winning culture and high standards that we became accustomed to under the previous ownership. We shouldn't expect less as a fanbase given the amount of money we've spent.

It might be the third tier of European football, but a trophy is a trophy. If the playing group can experience the feeling of winning silverware, it might drive them to achieve greater things in the future.

Let's bring this home and go down as the only club in Europe to win all available European trophies (Champions League, Europa League, Cup Winners Cup and now hopefully the Conference League).

Come on CHELSEA!

You should be able to register without starting a subscription and watch it free to view.

I'll be watching that way through an Xbox

I'm not sure how it works in this instance Andy because I already have Amazon Prime but most sources seem confident this game will be available free to air in the UK ?

According to this link you just need to register for a free account.....no subscription needed and as far as I can tell it's a one off so shouldn't require any payment details to be given.

I pondered a couple of pages back about our allocation and support for tonight's game and I've just seen this pop up on the BBC live reporting.

Wroclaw has been very green and white, I must say.

I think the Betis fans are a bit livelier. This is their first final so they have been dominating the atmosphere here.

There are still a lot of Chelsea fans around. There are also a lot of international Chelsea fans. There is a bit of talk that Chelsea didn't sell out their 12,000 allocation for the stadium but it might get filled up with Polish fans because Chelsea are huge around the world.

I guess that maybe reflects where this competition ranks in importance to us.

I saw some horrendous stat earlier today that Spanish sides have come out on top in European and International Finals 27 times out of 27 since 2002 (there were actually 4 losing Spanish club sides, but they lost to other Spanish teams).

It would be such a Chelsea thing to break that record 😎

A huge game for all involved in this “project”. Win a cup and finish 4th and that’s a couple of decent milestones.

Would assume it’ll be the strongest team available (except for Jorgensen). Nkunku and Guiu are non runners imo , so jackson to come back in or a false nine.
