Burnley vs Chelsea (PL) Saturday 22nd November 12:30 GMT

Happy with that. Difficult fixture after international break. Credit where it’s due.

To win away in PL without Caicedo, Palmer, James (for 90), Estevao - impressive.

Can’t believe we are 2nd in the table….we don’t deserve to be the way we’ve played for most of the season so far this game was no exception. Maresca somehow manages to live for another season it seems despite his boring non attacking style of football…but I guess it’s a result orientated business and he’s managing to get lucky when it matters.

Stat merchants will love that.

He really is untouchable with the way things pan out for him, non-Chelsea fans/those that don’t watch the games have absolutely no idea what we’ve been dealing with. He got himself into the position though, so fair play.

Only just seen that Sanchez/Chalobah goal kick hand ball.

Got very luck there.

Agree. That’s a penalty. These things have a habit of evening out - post Fulham game we had some bad calls. Hopefully not again though!!

It wouldn't be a penalty I believe. Would have been an in-direct free kick.

Pedro Neto has already equalled the goals he scored last season in the prem (4), at least we’re seeing some improvement there conversion wise. 6 assists last season, compared to 2 so far. Unless his form falls off a cliff, a nice early indicator that he’s at least heading in the right direction now. You can rarely fault is intensity, despite a lot of it being mindless.

It's the one part of his game that is consistent. He can have a stinker, but still manage to get a goal and an assist. People will moan at you for asking for more, but I want Enzo to be controlling that midfield, that is what he should be doing, but he's not.

I am a supporter of Maresca but today I did not like his decisions.

We won because we have a great team (and that's very good news) but we suffered too much against the poorest team we've played until today.

In my humble opinion, playing an excellent Premier League must be our first objective and therefore the best team must always take to the pitch.

Anyway, we won...let's enjoy it!

Good. Job done.

3 points while those most in need of the whole game off, Caicedo and Estevao, and those needing some of it off, James and Gusto, got it. Along with Fofana being saved for Barca.

Good job all involved.

What does it say about burnley that they could not score with us having chalobah and tosin together on the pitch?
