Remember that period when Enzo was part of the bomb squad early last season? Only played in Conference League matches with Lavia+Caicedo always starting.

I don't ever remember Enzo being in a bomb squad ... the bomb squad got no playing time at all and a separate changing room away from the first team.

John obi mikel says

Does his CV match the football club he's coming to manage? Definitely not, because he hasn't managed any top football club,” the one-time UEFA Champions League winner concluded.

“He hasn't been an assistant at any top club. He was at Hull, Derby and Strasbourg. It's a different ball game at Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“From what I've heard, he's a brilliant young coach, but the teams he's coached don't compare to Chelsea.

“How does he manage a World Cup winner like Enzo Fernandes, or World-class players like Moises Caicedo, Reece James?

“How does he win the fans over? Because if they're not happy, they'll turn on you.

“He can say as much as he wants, but he's the guy the board will manipulate and dictate what to do. I get that it's a huge opportunity to turn down, but they have no say on how the club is being run. Make no mistake about it.

“It's an opportunity for a black young manager, that's good, but it doesn't qualify you to get a job at Chelsea. It's a mess.

“I hope at some point, we get it right. A lot of black managers deserve to get opportunities to manage at the highest level, and I hope he does well to shut the critics.

“He's been given a six-year deal; he has to win trophies,” Mikel Obi concluded.

Seeing Marseille outplay PSG today with vastly inferior players and I can't help but think there was as better French league manager we could've hired

Though I've never watched Strasbourg so who knows

De Zerbi? You jest. A one-trick pony found out at Brighton and a control freak.

JT has no chance of getting anywhere at Chelsea under this ownership.

They've only kept him on in any capacity to try and keep the legacy fans onside ...

JT probably regrets never having led Chelsea to one of the USA Tour trophies...shame but its cost him😂

John Terry should have been made assistant not the puppet who "coached" for 2 games (even though he was being told who to pick, and who to sub on/off), but of course JT couldnt be controlled

What could possibly go wrong?

Although like yourself I'm expecting another disastrous tenure of our new coaching staff, I fail to see how the adjectives you - rightly or wrongly - attribute to them are relevant factors in the results.

He wouldn’t last month. De Zerbi would be throwing hands with these clowns. No chance he works for these muppet’s

f**king love him, get in Liam. I hear he's been sneaking into the boardroom before meetings and farting in Eghbali's chair.

Liam Rosenior - a footballer with a conscience

Should be sacked immediately for bringing the club into disrepute. Openly supporting a Nazi like Corbyn. There’s absolutely no place for extremism in sport and to be so open and brazen about it is sickening.

Nah this c**t might finally take the medal off Rafa as the biggest piece of sh*t to manage the club.

Praying he doesn’t make it to the end of the season now, worst thing Clearlake have done to us.

You do know that's from 8 years ago, and is almost entirely about racism.

It seems the Rosenoir appointment is really bringing the morons to the fore.

I’m impressed with what I’ve seen so far. His CFC “1st interview” and his presser today. Like his confidence in himself and like all I’m hearing. Yea there’s talk about building for the long term but there’s plenty about winning in the here and now. Plenty about him standing up and making decisions

Said elsewhere I think gone are days where “world class managers” can go in anywhere and make it work. Look at emery and arsenal. It all comes down to things clicking. I don’t think there’s 1 manager out there that could go in here and be a guarantee

If he can get some f***in intensity and conviction into our game when we play lesser teams I’ll be happy

He is a good communicator, I haven’t watched today’s press conference yet but I’ve watched enough of him as a Sky Sports pundit to see he is a confident talker.

I know to win people over he’ll have to be better than just “talking a good game”.

If the players are open to change despite his “lack of experience” then who knows.

I even believe listening to him talk might even have some fans soften their stance, maybe…

He has certainly started well with his communication. He will need to be on it though as there will be immediate and constant baiting from the press until things settle down, if they do. He might need to bare his teeth soon to the press to let them know where the boundaries are and to get respect from them. Even if he is collaborating with the back room and medical teams (and even if its a facade) he may well need to bite someone to let the press know its his decisions, or else every substitution and poor result will be micro analyzed and they will be baiting him to undermine him and the team.

Jeremy Corbyn’s campaign was a game changer. People often used to say to me, ‘it doesn’t make a difference who I vote for’. This election there was a choice. Labour captured what lots of people believe’

I don’t know, but openly complimenting a convicted anti-Semite on an election campaign that was ran purely on division and hate doesn’t seem like a great PR move for someone who is managing London’s 4th biggest team in 2025.

8 years ago he was 33, which is old enough to know what you’re saying and the consequences of such words.

Just sits badly with me that the clubs been stolen from our innocent Jewish owner and now Clearlake have appointed someone with at least ‘Unison’ for a political figure that would’ve been the most damaging individual to a single country since the 1930’s.

Let's hope he doesn't start his reign by getting us knocked out of the FA Cup by Charlton, or the fans won't be on board for long.

His team selections will be fascinating, who he sees as his strongest 11, there will be some winners and some losers im sure. How he approaches key games in selection terms and also lesser games. I expect him to bring a new approach and we need it. His formations / set up will also be interesting, im hearing he prefers wing backs rather than wingers/wide men. Head coach is a narrower brief than team manager, even more so at Blue Co.

Its been pretty flat since Blue Co. took over to put it mildly, wouldn't it be nice if this squad played to its potential consistently.

Its ok beating PSG and Barcelona 3-0 apiece but i want to see us put Burnley and the like to the sword week in week out.🙂

Up the Chels!

Liam Rosenior.

The specific context of this was an answer to a question on how he can do tactical work when he has almost no time to prepare during the next run of games.

Do better.
