Leeds United vs Chelsea (FAC) Sunday 26th April 15:00 GMT

Not the starting 11 I would have gone for but it was a decent team performance and have to admit, Enzo and Tosin and Sanchez had good games and Neto was a lot better today. Even Gusto managed to do okay!

Garnacho was still as poor as ever, but we looked very comfortable for most of the game. We have to put all our efforts into beating City in the final and winning the cup and thereby qualifying for Europa next season. Don't care about the league this season and think we'd be better off NOT in the CL next season and give the new coach a slightly easier campaign.

There were moments in that 2nd half where I was watching us and you could see why we struggle so much compared to other teams that like to pass the ball. We cannot handle being pressed, like at all, which is funny because our tactics under Maresca was all about baiting the press and playing through it. There were multiple instances where we would pick up the ball in the middle but instead of quickly passing through the lines, our players panic and play backwards with multiple Leeds players pressing hard. I look at teams like PSG and they have supreme confidence in themselves, they won't hesitate to play that pass through the lines. They see a player in space, they're taking it. There isn't a thought in their mind about potentially losing the ball in their own half.

The reality at this point is that the players we have just aren't good enough to play this way. After 3 years, you would think if they were good enough at it, they would have mastered it by now, but they haven't.

The thing is, we can do it. We have done it. The problem is they have had meaningless possession drilled into them. Holding the ball, passing backwards and sideways. Until that mindset is overcome we're stuck with what we have.

Just had an enjoyable 30 minutes trolling Leeds fans I grew up with. Thank you to the players for giving us something to smile about after a tough few weeks.

I'm Chels because of the 1970 FA Cup final. I was 6 years old at the time and spent the remainder of the day in the back garden as Peter Osgood, of course. Given that I lived in Dublin the choice of club to support was between the flambouyant Southerners or the tough Northerners. As a big softie myself the choice was easy.

My best pal, who is Leeds, as he was a hard man at 6, is visiting from New York and pints are scheduled for Thursday. There will be only one topic of conversation. When I get home Mrs Liam will ask about his wife, kids, job, and plans for the future, in particular retirement age - to which I will reply, none of that came up.

City in the final.

I completely understand people who really doesn’t believe we can do it. Our squad is severely inferior to City’s squad.

But they have an intense title race, they have to win every single game to stay on top of Arsenal. They really cannot afford to have a slip up. That must take alot out of them mentally and physically.

By the time FA cup final arrives, they could be shattered / hung over from celebrating the title or losing it… Us on the other hand, have absolutely f*ck all to play for.

It’s a cup final, we have a chance. I don’t want the owners revelling in what they’ve done so far but it’s FA Cup, of course I really want us to win it.

Not the best performance but we needed a win today. The first half we were alright but that second half was bad, in my opinion. Another team would have picked us apart that second half. Also, many more Leeds supporters at Wembley, we could be witnessing the FA Cup final with least fans in it when we play City!

Not a good performance by any stretch of the imagination, but at least we managed a clean sheet. Oh, and even if Tosin was the beneficiary I did take som real delight in Fofana being benched. Into the final we go, surely its our turn to actually win a Wembley final now?

If you had your boy's name on that list we might believe you were serious.

Squad player compared to a guaranteed starter. Garnacho never downed tools, he’s just sh*t. Those three listed actively sabotaged our season.

Hey Leeds, you bottled it. Lost your shot at revenge even when we are a sh*t ownership, useless directors, players have been on strike and an interim who is not even qualified for the position.

Shame of you!

Ginger Mac's Blue and White Army. ChELSeAFaN

Probably harsh given that he managed to us a win today, but given his limited experience "Ginger Rosenior" would work well in a similar way to how Burnley fans serenaded Dyche with Ginger Mourinho ;)

17th F A cup final Won 8 Lost 8 let’s hope it is 9 in the positive column!

That lost 8 column is really quite gutting, in particular the most recent ones against Arsenal, Leicester and Liverpool, all games we could and should have won.

if we win the FA Cup we get into the Europa League but a City FA Cup win would put Bournemouth into the Europa League and we could end up in the Conference League

I think that's right as things stand

Hard not to be miffed when a few days with a caretaker magically gets the team showing a sense of organization again. Always hard to forgive players downing tools when they're on a lot of money that comes from the spending of people on far far less money than them... On the flipside, the weaker second half of us doing the usual of letting teams get back into games and being on the back foot for very long periods shows that a lot of this is down to player mentality as much as managerial choices too.

Anyway, we got through it, now we have to hope we can end our terrible run of bad domestic final results.

It's mind blowing that since 2019 we've lost 7 domestic cup finals

And, unless we pull a PSG CWC final level performance out of nowhere it will become 8 losses.

Even If Pep messes up his line up his subs are killers.

So nothing less then a sensational performance gets it done.

LR was cringe, his interviews were annoying word salad. We knew it and the players knew it.

Not defending the players for their performances recently not just Brighton but they did us a favour cos these clowns were going to give him the job.

Macfarlane clearly told Sanchez not to f**k around with it today and hey ho clean sheet. What was LR thinking, even EM figured that out towards the end.

Dear Mr Liam

Is it possible that at this very moment, there is some child in the world playing football in their garden or backyard pretending to be Garnacho .. I feckin hope not for their sake!
