  1. Silva is right up there in the list of my favourite ever CFC players. To be playing at that level when he will be 40 in September is truly astounding. To think he joined us when Lamps was manager, was then re-united with Tuchel, won the CL & Club World Cup, only to see Tuchel sacked and then played under Potter, Lamps again and now Pochettino. During that we had the whole Abramovic saga and new owners and he would have been forgiven in thinking he had joined a complete car-crash of a football club and should have jumped ship. But no, he clearly Loves Chelsea and is always last off the pitch after applauding the supporters. The guy has been a model pro and a brilliant defender. I have never seen another defender read the game as well as Silva does. It has been an absolute pleasure to watch him ply his trade in Chelsea Blue and I'm gonna miss him big time.

  2. What a stupid post, Giggs was accused of physically and mentally abusing his partner for years and cheated with his wife with his brothers wife, nothing like the stuff Terry was accused of.

  3. I, like many of my internet dilettante brethren, dedicate a lot of time to watching the Portuguese League. As a result I have a valid and well-informed opinion which is worthy of consideration. Take for example: - Superficial similarity to José Mourinho (they are both Portuguese and won things at a young age); - Premier League experience (he has Trincão and Liverpool legend Sebastián Coates in his team, as well as a guy called Marcus Edwards); - Seems to play a back three (this might remind us of happier times under Tuchel/Conte); - Has a high WhoScored rating; - That JorginhoFTSZN guy on Twitter says he's quality. Trust me, he knows his stuff, he uses the words 'inverted' and 'half space' a lot. - Have it on good authority that he would bring with him that Swedish guy whose name I can't spell (thought of it on the toilet). - His name is Ruben which will make many of us think wistfully of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and all the wacky things Tuchel made him do. Anyway, that is ironclad proof that he is the next coming of Guardiola/Sacchi/whoever. Plus my sources tell me he's interested (Portuguese bird I failed to chat up at the pub).

  4. So much to enjoy about that. Obviously the win, the size of the win, another Palmer masterclass, the Gilchrist goal, and the best goal of Jackson's Chelsea career so far. But in addition to all that, the quality of so many performances, other than those already mentioned also specifically mentions for Madueke and Caciedo. And a rare sight of a team playing for each other. Celebrating tackles and clearances. Forget the penalty incident. Totally admit I reacted to it but f**k it. Best performance of the season for us. Focus on that.

  5. I am in mourning, he's been my favourite player since he joined. What a player, we are so lucky to have had him at the club for 4 seasons. Take a bow, Thiago Silva.

  9. Mydryk plays well centrally - poch puts him left wing. Palmer plays outstanding right side, terrible centrally - poch plays him centrally. Just taking the absolute piss now.

  12. Why the f**k is anyone getting their big girly pants all twisted up about Enzo giving Mount a bit of stick? It wasn't like he halved him in two. It was a tiny bit of handbags, notably after Mount had tried to put off Palmer when taking the penalty. f**k sake, it's Mount, it's not like Enzo went up against a true club legend like Zola, Lampard, Terry or Amrosetti. Its a competitive game. Get over it ya fannies.

  13. Getting it in now Anyone who disects the game and focuses on who played sh*te. Just don't, pop out, get a carry out and get sh*t faced. We beat Spurs. Just f**king enjoy it.

  14. What a bloke, haven't loved a player as much as him in such a short space of time. Hope we can finish the year strongly and give him a positive send off. The club better have a plan for replacing his presence, they already messed up not giving him the captaincy last summer.

  17. Think this is a poor comment considering I like your perspective on a lot that you post. There is a massive leap from a group of committed and often frustrated fans that have signed up to a members forum, expressing opinions and often illustrating their frustrations amongst each other, and the filth and bile that cowards, often hiding behind anonymity, post directly at, and often to the personal accounts of, players and celebrities that they are apparently fans of. Racism, homophobia, sexism, extremism of any kind will never be eradicated from the minds if some people. Social media platforms should have the wherewithal to recognise this and, if these pointless, self serving outlets of drivel are to perpetuate there should be safeguards in place to prevent abuse such as this and to make the perpetrators clearly identifiable.

  20. Can't believe the amount of moaning after such an entertaining game of football where we WON and got all 3 points off Man Utd. All this "papering over the cracks bollocks". Just enjoy the win FFS! I was as annoyed as anyone when we let that 2-0 goal lead slip but always knew there was no way we were keeping a clean sheet - not with that defence. Sure, you can blame Poch for being stubborn and not playing Silva, but other than that what can he do with the defenders out injured and players like Caicedo and Badiashille dropping absolute clangers? I hope from now until the end of the season we see more of Carney & Noni, as when those two are on the pitch, along with Palmer, Mudryk, Enzo and Gusto, we ARE great to watch and we can cause any team problems. Jackson though is still not a striker.

  21. I don't believe it was his choice to move on. Him speaking about his sons playing for our youth set up and staying here says to me that he intends to stay close by, ideally would have been here, and certainly won't be heading back to Brazil. He also talks about a desire to come back in another role soon, so sounds like his family is settled well here and they want to stay. Where that leaves his next move? Fulham perhaps? Anyways my favorite player of these last 4 years. Not only class on the pitch, but off it as well. One who came to love us by being here over a short time, who's family also love us too. Special.

  22. Exactly this. It was a foul, however the ref saw it and allowed it. We have been hearing how the threshold of physicality had been increased, ref goes by that but the VAR ref does not want it to stand. They are supposed to put forward clear and obvious errors. There is pushing and shoving in the box like this many tines each game. Why are there not several pens and several disallowed goals? Clear and obvious not re refing the game. If the ref gave it himself no issues but he did not, he saw it and said it was fine, then changed his mind for his mate. Yet Grealishes handball miss was not clear and obvious...

  23. Reminder of what Egbahli (or whatever the c**ts name is) said back in 2022: “We thought Chelsea [was] frankly an asset, a business that was not terribly well managed on the football side" What an absolute prize bell end this guy is.

  24. It’s a huge loss. I just feel annoyed and angry with the squad and management more than anything. Thiago Silva represents everything we want in a footballer. The ultimate professional, gives 100% every game. He deserved much better than the sh*tshow past couple of seasons. It’s sad to see his career at top level end like this. I still consider him as our best defender, the rest are bums.

  26. Must be the best round of results for us Chelsea fans in a long time. Rivals losing or dropping points, and a 6-0 win for ourselves.

  27. Quite like how that tweet has 3 crap prospects to suck people in, then mentions 4 others that everyone is desperate for as "also under consideration" to cover all the bases. Utter bollocks as usual.

  28. We beat Man Utd But lost a 2 goal lead Cole Palmer scored a hat trick Which probably save Poch's job

  29. Took time to reflect on the game, as didnt want the emotion of the actual result to cloud my view.... The amount of chances we are conceding, the lack of defensive organisation, the lack of ability to defend a cross, the continued individual errors, the lapses of concentration..... That doesnt scream superstar head coach to me. He has been bailed out by 2x soft pens, and a huge deflection. End of. Yes - it is amazing to beat manure, in this manner, but we were bloody lucky, and in truth stole the game, after first throwing it away due to Poch's inept ability to get this team organised. I have no idea how this guy stands there in his post match presser and talks about being a head coach and not a clown. Absolutely brazen chancer....

  31. I felt nothing when Disasi scored. Didn’t celebrate, didn’t make a sound, didn’t react at all. All because I know there will be three-four minutes (at least) of VAR- checks. It doesn’t help that the people using it are clueless, but even if they were perfect the explosion of emotion in the moment is gone - which for me is what the game is about I appreciate that not everyone feels the way I do about it, but the game was gone the moment VAR was introduced

  32. The disallowed goal situation comes down to the severe lack of consistency again from these refs. The reason why half of us are saying it was fine and the other half are saying it's a definite foul is because these refs switch it up every other game. There was a goal Newcastle scored where Joelinton was clearly pushing Gabriel for Arsenal. The goal stood, the refs saw nothing wrong with it. So for them to then say this nudge by Badiashile is a foul when it's a very similar way of gaining an advantage over the opponent, it's going to make us start asking questions. If Badiashile does that at the other end of the pitch, there's no way that is given as a penalty, so why is it a foul from an attacking perspective? Officiating is just a complete clusterf**k in football. Officiating in other sports seem to have a firm grasp on what the rules are, but refs in this sport, especially in England, follow their own guidelines and change the rule depending on the situation.
