August 15, 20178 yr Not Turkish but plays in Germany Leon Goretzka is a quality player has size mobility passing and an eye for goal
August 15, 20178 yr Goretzka was great for Germany during the Confed Cup. He'd certainly fit Conte's style too. Works hard off the ball, positions himself cleverly, chips in with the occasional goal. He's off contract next year too. Problem with some of these guys is that they will want to be playing each week to get into their World Cup squads. Hard to convince a player to leave guaranteed first team football, and move to a different country in a World Cup year. Krychowiak from PSG is the guy for me. Told he can leave. Experienced and a leader. Great in the tackle, circulates the ball well. I could see him becoming a fan favourite.

August 15, 20178 yr Latest player we have been linked with is Cedric Soars from Southampton. Looking to bid around £15m according to a few papers. Are these journalists just throwing any potential name into the hat hoping they may get at least one right?

Negotiations ongoing for Drinkwater and mystery Bundesliga attacking midfielder of Turkish origin. Take with a pinch of salt just a feeling....... OMG, 4real? I put my trust on you, do not disappoint me :(

August 16, 20178 yr Our last signing, Morata was 24 days ago. Nearly a whole month. What the f*ck have we been doing? I find the whole situation really bizarre, surely it's not difficult to wrap up signings considering we are the current champions and we also offer champions league football?
August 16, 20178 yr I keep saying it to be proved wrong by the board but we will start the season with the same squad we have now

Negotiation take time I agree. But we have had several months time after the end of last season to finish these negotiations. Letting Matic, RLC, Chaloubah, Ake, Zouma etc. go we should have had these negotiations quite near to the end with lots of players. This situation we are facing now (lack of quantity) can not be a surprise to anyone.

Fan keep blaming the board when it is Conte who has dropped the ball. Things wouldn’t look this dire if he had kept RLC & Ake. We have spent big on 3 players which is close to the business City/Utd have done, I don’t think see how feasible it is to sign 6/7 players in one window.

I was not only criticizing the board but the whole organization. And on the other hand you can only have eleven players to start the game. (And in our case even less to finish one :))
August 16, 20178 yr Crazy idea, Kevin Prince-Boateng has left Las Palmas Certainly not a first team player, but we could get him for free! Edited August 16, 20178 yr by TomCFC85
August 16, 20178 yr IMO - we now have Ox, Cancelo and Drinkwater in the bag just waiting on Turkish attacking midfielder, Tom thought this might be Nuri Sahin. Take with a pinch of salt as I may be wrong. Suspect the club wants one press unveiling.
August 16, 20178 yr Surely this is the worst transfer window we have gone through, ever? (So far) The replacements we've signed are great players, but as you all can see our depth is shocking. I can't remember the last time we had such a lack of depth, and Scott is our only available midfielder aside from Kante. The club fully knew we had tough games coming up early in the season, instead of making sure we're prepared for the crucial games we are left with what we've got now. The situation could have been avoided and I've never seen us look so unprepared! We knew Bakayoko and Hazard wouldn't be available so we should have signed another midfielder as soon as Matic and Chalobah left. I could go on forever, I'm praying for no more injuries or suspension this weekend. We'll probably get something out of the match this weekend but it doesn't mask up the serious issues we've got. Sort it out!
August 16, 20178 yr @dansubrosa Keep calm and carry on, I'm sure they are on their way just obstacles or opportunities we cannot appreciate, IMO.
August 16, 20178 yr Wenger again today saying the Oxlaide Chamberlain is staying with the club this year...think he needs to put in a transfer request to get the ball rolling...
