July 7, 201511 yr Mirror saying we have made a £20 mil bid for Isco now, but the fat waiter don't want to part with him. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/real-madrid-reject-20million-approach-6021286? Edited July 7, 201511 yr by comtrend
July 7, 201511 yr £20m for Isco would be utterly absurd, in fact it's even less than Real paid for him in the first place, surely a non-starter. £12m for Oscar is even more absurd, what a ridiculous article.
July 7, 201511 yr Would love either gotze or Isco, but I think it's just the press pulling names out the hat again because I don't think anyone has a clue who we are targeting this summer.

Why not throw in Mikel and Salah....kill two birds with one stone...oh and a pizza for FSW..
July 8, 201511 yr Not sure about that. Is he so sour towards Chelsea? He knows a lot of people from the club. If he was 13 years old I'd understand..
July 8, 201511 yr I think Real Madrid won't sell us a player as long as FSW is in charge. So you're saying we have a chance in January?
July 8, 201511 yr It's a bit annoying, seems like we're only going to sign a back up left back, a back up striker, a back up goalkeeper and Vitesse loan fodder. Thrilling. Edited July 8, 201511 yr by timetowaste
July 9, 201511 yr I still hope we're going to move for Griezmann. Atletico have been very active in the market, signing attacking players.
July 9, 201511 yr It's a bit annoying, seems like we're only going to sign a back up left back, a back up striker, a back up goalkeeper and Vitesse loan fodder. Thrilling.the club and Jose said last season they want to integrate 2 or 3 youth players into the first team squad, if we now go out and sign first team players then that obviously won't happen. Will you be happy with that?

Will you be happy with that? I don't think one contradicts the other. If we buy first team players, we also sell first team players. The youngsters won't get into a starting lineup next season, they'll be squad players, getting playing time here and there, nothing we know about Mourinho suggests otherwise. But if we don't improve our team by acquiring quality in the transfer market we risk being left behind our main rivals and they don't seem to worry that much about spending big.
July 9, 201511 yr Right I don't really get the negativity about this transfer window we have a young squad with the likes of Zouma, Oscar, Hazard and Courtois only going to improve, and excluding JT we have no-one old enough to be in the decline. We were also miles ahead of our league rivals last year and even when we were in a rut we were still winning games, so i don't see how we are going to be any different next season with an extra year of growth and gelling as a squad. However i do get the sentiments that we weren't quite on the level in the Champions League, I believe are squad is better than PSG and we could challenge Team Cristina (due to there poor defence) and give Bayern a good go, and would put us on a par With Juve. Barcelona on the other hand are miles ahead of everyone but there is no one in the market that will bridge that gap. So I don't see how missing out on a few Squad fillers like Turan is going to ruin us as a club and is a step backwards, if anything its a good things as it doesn't restrain us financially when someone good comes along, like the Gareth Bales of the world.IMO there are only 2 targets this summer that would Improve are first team, both of which massively overpriced and one with a bit of an attitude problem these Being Pogba and Sterling.Greizman would add a different dimension to the team but i think Remy on the right can give the same impact in the games that it would be needed and keep him happier as Costas backup.Plus I would love to see some youth come through, so that means squad members like Mikel, Ramires and Cuadrado (who i still think needs more of a chance was a great player in the world cup and whilst playing in Italy), would have to go in order to accomodate Youth and Big signings.

Spot on.The top clubs in the world strengthen every season, we were short of those clubs last season in Europe so we will be further behind if we don't get some quality in. July 11, 201511 yr Apparently we're asking 35 million for Mikel , whilst have agreed on only 7 million euro for Remy. July 11, 201511 yr Not liking that Remy report. Hope he stays but if he goes, lumping money on charlie austin straight away
July 12, 201511 yr Why would we sell Remy for less than we paid for him when he proved himself last year, delivering goals on big PL occasions? Be a mad move if it was to happen. Given our previous mentioned asking price was 15mill pounds not 10mill euros.

Remy is basically being sold for 3 mil pounds. This honestly makes no sense. This is too shady, I think another guy on here posted something like this, and I'm starting to think he was right -- Remy must've done something to anger someone at the club, they must be demanding that he be sold at once. That's honestly the only explanation I can think of. Edited July 12, 201511 yr by Theafonis

That's honestly the only explanation I can think of. Even if this was true about him "angering" someone at the club (there's about zero evidence that it is), why would we sell him clearly below market value only to hurt ourselves? Like, what point does that prove beyond throwing a tantrum befitting a child instead of a large corporation? Also, why would Remy agree to the lower visibilty and stature of the Turkish league when he could be starting for about 10 other Premier League teams? The only reason I can think of is wages, but surely, there must be a team in the PL willing to match that along with a much more appropriate transfer fee. If this deal does happen, and I'll be shocked and confused and angered if it does, the likelier explanation would be that whatever health issue the Liverpool medics picked up on him is real and no other team wants to take a chance on him. I mean, that still makes very little sense, but I'd rather believe that than the idea of us, as an organization, behaving like a stupid, vindictive child.
