July 20, 201510 yr Hopefully of Cuadadro moves that means we're in for Pedro, getting Pedro and Stones in would make me feel a whole lot better about this window
July 21, 201510 yr I know we can never read too much into players being given shirt numbers, as we've seen some players used in promotional build ups and then sold. Cuadrado given the 11 jersey does seem a bit of a big move for him. However, I will say that if we got back what we paid for him, then I wouldn't oppose the move; so long as we had a replacement already lined up

Maybe he needed that acclimatisation period. The 11 shirt is hallowed now after being vacated by Drogba for a second time, shame someone else couldn't have assumed it.

Again, I try not to read too much into shirt numbers, but giving the number 11 to Juan could be a significant gesture by Jose as a show of faith? Or, he could just be using it to say to others "who wants to come and be our number 11?"
August 4, 201510 yr We want Danny Rose from Spurs, according to Paper Talk... Are we looking to retain a title or do our ambitions go as far as qualification for Europa?
August 5, 201510 yr It's not a rumour but I really believe that Chicharito would be a perfect signing for us. Man Utd might be susceptible to do a deal considering we sold them Mata?

Instead of Falcao perhaps... but I think we need a target man, someone to get on the end of crosses instead of all this sideways passing to stretch the play wait for the killer pass bollocks etc etc (remind anyone else of Arsenal pre Giroud?) Yeah you're right but quality is quality and Chicharito scores goals everywhere he goes. Imagine Fabregas threading balls through to him, he is lightning. Not bad with his head either. Wishful thinking I guess. Dzeko might have been good for that target man position you are talking about.
August 5, 201510 yr The perfect signing for us would be Gotze. Bild reporting he's available for just under 28 million pounds. German media has turned him into the problem child, even though he clearly isn't. He'd help Chelsea so much in the final third. He can play any of the attacking midfield positions.

August 7, 201510 yr Marca have reported us and Bayern bid for Koke this summer. Apparently we put up 65m euro. Edited August 7, 201510 yr by TheChelseaBlues
August 7, 201510 yr Marca gave reported us and Bayern bid for Koke this summer. Apparently we put up 65m euro. Good to know that the club also sees him as an ideal fit for us. And at the current exchange rate, 65mil euros comes out to 46mil pounds. Good deal it would've been.
August 7, 201510 yr Marca gave reported us and Bayern bid for Koke this summer. Apparently we put up 65m euro. If we bring Koke to Chelsea, think Mutu will try to angle for a move back?
August 7, 201510 yr That's a lot of money for koke. He is hardly going to contribute to our attack much at all, so it's a high investment in all honesty. I am sure there are more suitable options out there if we look hard enough. Edited August 7, 201510 yr by enigma

August 7, 201510 yr If we bring Koke to Chelsea, think Mutu will try to angle for a move back? It could get our Colombians playing.
August 7, 201510 yr If we bring Koke to Chelsea, think Mutu will try to angle for a move back? He'd be quite happy with Charlie Adam.
August 8, 201510 yr If we bring Koke to Chelsea, think Mutu will try to angle for a move back? Hahahahahaha !!!!!
August 8, 201510 yr It's in a few papers today about Gotze having fallen out with Guardiola and desperately wants away. The wording on the BBC website is also interesting. It mentions about Gotze being unsettled and wants to move to the premier league. The next quote is from Jose - stating that he cannot possibly look at players from Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid unless they actively want to leave. Either lazy journalism or a hint that we might be interested. Most likely the former from the BBC.
