Fair point and early days but we know we are playing catch up in the window, and deals can be agreed before the window opens (see Liverpool with Minamino). Lampard has already highlighted a lack of creativity in the side, and his playing of Azpi at LB emphasises then need for reinforcement there.
 

We have an interesting set of 5 fixtures after the Newcastle game that could make/break our season, granted there are no expectations. Personally expected a signing or 2 before the Burnley game. There are loads of interesting players available on the continent with release clauses or available at the right price. Ziyech, Tagliafico, Telles, Grimaldo, Olmo, Rashica are available. You just know we will mess around all Jan and end up making a club record transfer for Zaha at the end of the window🤦‍♂️

You have to take SSN as it is. It is like that media watch in the 5th stand - app. Just shows news from other sources. Then they have their own sources that are hugely inaccurate in my opinion. However they do keep a good buzz around transfers and they are quick to announce new confirmed deals.

You are 100% right with that transfer kitty. Someone just made that up and everyone is just so lazy and repeat it. I don't think Marina has a sum there. If we need to use 250m we wil use it.

Personally I don't mind the club getting these with the title of young and talented...But if we only sign that 20 year old from Croatia, and this 22 year old from Leeds...That would be a weak transfer window in my eyes, we need a real boost for the short term.

I'm a fan of Soyuncu, he's another brilliant find by Leicester. I can't see us signing him now though, Leciester will not want to sell any of their key players when they are in the position they are currently in.

I dont think its Ben White, his fee has been reported as 25m. 

 

No one is paying 50 for him yet... no offence to him.

 

My guess? It could be one of a number of CB in the prem.  When he says "young CB", that could be anyone under 25 tbh. 

 

I think we will sign Ake if anyone.   But that Kaveh seems a bit of a billy bullsh*tter

To be fair any forward will struggle with the state of their midfield & full backs. There is no creativity in that team.

Yes he did but Milan had Paqueta playing as a 10. This season he is playing ahead of Bonnaventure (17 assists in 7 seasons), Krunic (9 assists in 4 seasons) and Bennacer ( 5 assists in 2). Hardly a creative trio, and the fullbacks Theo Hernandez & Rodriquez are not better in that department.

I reckon he will fare better with Grealish and El Ghazi behind him.

Surprises me Villa are linked to a big-name considering they have potential issues around complying with FFP obligations.

Paqueta is still there is he not? i see no reason why Piatek should be doing any worse this year. 

As for Theo Hernandez, he appears to be doing better than R.Rodriguez did at LB last season.
