i wouldnt be surprised if he ends up staying

If he does, I seriously doubt we'll make any big signings. You can't afford two strikers on above 200K p/w. Not to mention Terry and Cole on substantial wages. I would think Hazard is earning a pretty penny too.

If there was a promise, a guarantee that the interim goes but Torres stays. Then perfect he would continue to get my support, the most important thing for us is to get rid of him (interim). It would be interesting to see how a new coach rates Torres and possibly instills confidence in him

Carlo couldn't do it, AVB couldn't do it, RDM couldn't do it, and FSW can't do it. No-one is going to be able to do it. Torres is a lost cause and the sooner he leaves the sooner we can start to re-build and forget about the last few years of playing with 10 men whnever he's been on the pitch.

if there is one man who could do it, it is jose

he would rate torres as a hinderance and make him confident in the knowledge that he has no business in being with chelsea for another season

We can call him a lost cause or whatever, but I've maintained from day one this was RA's baby and no matter how it goes we had better get used to the sight of Torres. You are more than correct in what you say about the managers who have failed to bring the best out of him but that still doesn't change a thing. But I'll tell you something playing as we did on Saturday and in plenty of games before that, just lumping the ball up there does him no favours and whilst he has possibly worn the patience out of a lot of Chelsea fans that type of play is a futile exercise.

Personally I think only 2 options are open to Torres. 1 being a move away hopefully back to Athletico if he wanted, or 2 let TSO have a go at sorting him out. But I must re-iterate as bad as he has been, we can't play that style and slag him.

I think if mourinho came back and torres stayed then we would really find out what has been going on the past couple of years. If mourinho benched him then we would know roman has forced the hand of previous managers and made them start him. Mourinho wouldn't allow roman to tell him who to pick! If mourinho involved torres in his plans then we would know that torres has obviously been sh*t hot in training!

Well given how sh*te he's been for over two years there's not exactly a queue of clubs looking to take him off our hands. And if we finish outside the top four there is every chance he will stay. No CL football will make it so much harder to attract top class talent to replace him, not to mention a top class manager who will quickly send him on his way.

So yes, every possibility we could be stuck with the biggest flop in football. And the really sad part is that are still a few on here who would welcome that. Oddly, most of them also regularly chew the balls off Mikel who, (whilst also not of the required quality we really need), is a model of consistency and a roaring success story when compared to Nando.

PS. Torres wouldn't last 5 minutes under Jose.

Yeah, and maybe if we got some creativity behind him.

The problem, is that we are too rigid at the back. We need to  drop Mata back there to play balls over the top to Torres.

I cant see Jose wanting him at the club. Why would he want a washed up player who couldnt score in a whore house? I hope that Torres if off loaded in anyway possible this summer and we can have a season where we wont be starting games with 10 men.
