Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

Featured Replies

The responsibility will make or break him, Conte might keep an easy eye on this...

I hope he does! Imagine if he captains Belgium to winning the whole damn thing...

POTY says he did stand out from the others, so you could say he contributed the most, show me one person who said Hazard was 'a one man show', just making it up again Barry are we ?

You are of course aware that my post was in response to a post that singled out Eden Hazard claiming that him at his best "is how we won the league".  So yes, I pointed out the other factors that won us the league because that poster gave an impression it was pretty much Hazard.  Yes he won the PFA, I still don't think he stood out any more than the defense.  His contribution was more eye catching yes but not more important in my books.  Just a part of the team, not greater than it.

I don't think any Leicester fan would come out and say "Mahrez at his best. That is how we won the league".  Maybe, but I doubt other fans would get offended when they mentioned the efforts of Vardy or their defense.... on here, apparently that's a terrible thing.

Oh, and I wrote "portray" not "said". One of those posts was right above mine and just so happened to be the one I was responding too.  Just too eager to get the pitch fork and torches out are we, coco?

Awww. I love your optimism and the sheer joy. Was it hard for you to witness Haz ripping Liverpool apart?

Oh, was Hazard back to his best when ripping LFC apart?  Funny that we only drew vs LFC then cause I thought that was how we won the league.

I missed the match and upon hearing about it decided it could stay missed......  but yes I would of been torn.  Happy to see Hazard playing well for Chelsea, sad that he just didn't do it except for the last few games of the season.

Evissy said "He was at his best yesterday. That is how we won the league. "

Notice the word WE ??

Please tell me how that is portraying Hazard as a 'one man show' that won us the league ??......your not even close.

I dont know if I should even bother.  Surely even you cant take your post serious.

Oh, Evissy is on the CFC first team squad?  Because that's the only way "we" would mean "the rest of the team".

But as the quote says "He [Eden Hazard] was at his best yesterday.  That is how we won the league."  So even with your very generous interpretation, it shows that Hazard being at his best is why the team won the league....at what part does it credit the team?  Because what I see is all the credit going to Hazard with the "we" only being mentioned when it comes to collecting the reward.

But perhaps I am just a simple mind who cant get it even close.

I waited six days for that reply, and you still can't tell me who said Hazard is a 'one man show', certainly not Evissy.

Just admit nobody has said those exact words on here. You made a mistake, so what, no big deal.

Haha. Didn't realize this was still on. I didn't elaborate but probably should have.

I meant when Hazard was on his best game we were winning games. Was it singlehandedly Haz? No but his brilliant play kept us going and helped others to shine as well. You play better, I play better type of thing. Everyone played excellent that season. Hazard was the shining diamond from the bunch and clearly worthy of poty award.

Surprised if it happens. On a personal note he pissed off Hazard by getting all the players up on stage at the P O T Y taking away his moment. He seemed to think Hazzard was too big for his boots and was keeping him grounded. So he comes back over weight and plays poorly. Not what you would expect from a player that would want to play for Mourinho.

I could buy the Jose want Willan story, but definitely not Hazard. Even when he was at his best, Jose was not happy with his work rate. I think if Jose had his way, he would want a Di Maria and Willian as his wingers.

If you waited six days then I am absolutely shocked you still haven't realized your error, especially as I have already pointed it out to you rather bluntly.  I did not claim someone said those words or "those exact words".  So would you like to admit your mistake since apparently it's no big deal?

But if you're going to put words in my mouth, then of course I'll be mistaken. My bad. Almost feels like I'm talking to that g38 guy.

PS.  I feel I have discussed this particular subject enough and will not be adding further to it.  If you wish to carry on may I suggest just PM'ing me so yet another thread isn't further tied up in a off topic argument?

Maybe that Manchester air has made him see the error of his ways, no more defensive football for him

I think a lot of this, including Willian, and Matic, and obviously now Hazard, is just paper linking Jose to ex players.  Do the media really think Jose is clambering to sign players that he (from the outside looking in) seemed to have fallen out with, or a the very least publicly criticized?  Is that what they think is going to be the basis of his next team in Manchester?

The only thing I could see happen is maybe Willian going.

Another thing could be that De Gea's head is turned  again by Madrid, and then Man U come in late with a large offer for Coutois

I don't want to PM you, I have no problem.

Hazard will turn it on next season and dazzle the league again, I have no doubts of that, Conte will treasure him better than some of our fickle fans.

Let's hope so. We might not be a one-man team, but a fit and in-form Hazard is KEY to us being successful.

They showed some clips of Hazard at his best on Chelsea TV last night and it's easy to forget just how good he has been at times. When hes running at defenders and surrounded by 4 or 5 opponents but they just can't get near him and usually have to foul him. And they showed the goal against Liverpool again and Jason Cundy was accurate in saying it was like kids playing football in the school playground and you had the one kid who was head & shoulders above everyone else who ran around everyone and stuck the ball past the keeper. Boy, I remember being that kid.........................!!

I find these rumours of all our players following Mourinho a bit far-fetched. Firstly, it's obvious to me that even if there were no uprising, mutiny, revolt or anything of the sort, the relationship between Jose and the players had become strained to an extent. If I were a player and my manager had fired the club doctor that had been treating me for years and I had a good relationship with over something as stupid and petty as he did, I'd definitely lose respect for him. Between that and his treatment of some players like Mata, KDB and RLC, the players have seen his bad/petulant side and I can't imagine them queueing up to work with him again.

Think if anyone goes it'll be Willian. Mou had faith in him and played him over Mata who is clearly a superior footballer and I'm sure that has resulted in some loyalty. I like Willian but he's a lot more dispensable than Hazard.

Haha. Keeper boy, you meant?
