April 25, 20179 yr ^^^ Not keen on that at all, it shows our players running around like headless chickens.
April 28, 20179 yr Interesting stadium concept from before the club settled on Herzog & de Meuron http://www.stadiumconcept.de/site/stamford_bridge_sc_english.php
April 28, 20179 yr That looks like a proper toilet seat. Rival fans would have had a field day making fun of that. Dodged a bullet there.
April 28, 20179 yr Looks a lot like spurs stadium in those pics, no thanks. thank god we got proper architects lol
April 28, 20179 yr Speaking of Stamford Bridge, today the club celebrates 140 years since the opening of Stamford Bridge on April 28 1877. http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2017/04/140-years-of-stamford-bridge.html Edited April 28, 20179 yr by Jezz
May 2, 20179 yr I could have posted this link in a number of threads as the note of the recent Chelsea Supporters Trust meeting covers a number of topics including the new stadirum; selling tickets and the virtual waiting room. Will also post in one of the tickets thread. https://chelseasupporterstrust.com/wp-content/uploads/Minutes-Fans-Forum-3rd-meeting-2016-17.pdf
May 3, 20179 yr 4 years away from the Bridge. Is it worth it? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4467172/Chelsea-face-FOUR-year-exile-Stamford-Bridge.html

If the problem is just with building the rafts then it shouldn't mean four years at Wembley because the work above the railway tracks can carry on while we're still playing at Stamford Bridge. It would just mean that we'd leave for Wembley the year after currently planned (summer 2020 rather than summer 2019), stay there for three seasons then come back to our completed stadium in 2023 rather than 2022.

May 12, 20179 yr According to the London Evening Standard, the club is looking to sell the naming rights of the new stadium but have said Stamford Bridge will remain in the name
May 12, 20179 yr That's disappointing, but hopefully it'll be a bit like Newcastle in that everyone will still call it by it's real name and somewhat render the sponsorship a complete waste of money.
May 12, 20179 yr I don't mind the compromise solution of including the Bridge's name in potential sponsorship, it irks of course but it's an economic reality these days. Infinitely preferable to leaving the ground entirely.
May 12, 20179 yr All chelsea fans will still call it the Bridge, even if its something like the Microsoft Pepsi Air Max Stamford Bridge. If the naming rights brings in hefty money and in turns pays for the stadium, I'm all for it, as I said the going fans will still say theyre heading to the Bridge.
