July 5, 201511 yr i do hope so but i`ll be a little weary of sons taking over from fathers...they could go of the rails and end up selling the club to pay his debts he`s racked up.After his tears in Munich I'm pretty sure we'd be in good hands with him too.
January 19, 201610 yr Do we think plumetting oil prices could have a detrimental effect to Roman sustaining us, He and the Arsenal Oligarch have seen massive losses since only 1st Jan?
January 19, 201610 yr Do we think plumetting oil prices could have a detrimental effect to Roman sustaining us, He and the Arsenal Oligarch have seen massive losses since only 1st Jan? I'd like to speculate that he's smart enough to have diversified his wealth into more than just oil/gas, especially with the development of renewable energy.
January 19, 201610 yr Do we think plumetting oil prices could have a detrimental effect to Roman sustaining us, He and the Arsenal Oligarch have seen massive losses since only 1st Jan? He sold his interest in Sibneft more than 10 years ago...
January 19, 201610 yr How do people feel about Roman after the Jose sacking? In the summer, we were all loving him after binging Jose back and building the new stadium. Personally I think Roman had no choice and gave Jose plenty of time. I don't think any blame can be pointed to Roman for what's happened.
January 19, 201610 yr I dont think anyone in the right mind could / should be remotely annoyed at Roman.
January 19, 201610 yr We shouldn't be annoyed. We need him to plough in another 100 million odd in the summer to become a challenger again.
January 23, 201610 yr Roman is a true Caesar of CFC........I do aim blame at some of his advisors who constantly buy past their sell by dated players
January 23, 201610 yr I actually don't think there's been enough admiration aimed at him from the fans, especially at SB. A lot of our fans are too busy congratulating our managers (especially Jose) and the players rather than showing that same kind of admiration and love for Roman.
January 23, 201610 yr Nearly every club, if not every club would in hinsight of loved roman to have bought their club back in 2003, I won't list all the trophies we've won since.

I was gonna post something similar. He doesn't get the praise he deserves. He's a bigger legend than Mourhino will ever be in my eyes.
January 23, 201610 yr Hear Hear. I was gonna post something similar. He doesn't get the praise he deserves. He's a bigger legend than Mourhino will ever be in my eyes. absolutely! it disappoints me to see a lack of banners with his name on around the stadium. then again, the fans go and support the team while i sit and stream or watch from t.v, so it's their prerogative what they decide to do. however, a little more acknowledgement of him would be great to see. January 23, 201610 yr I dont think youre going to see much recognition for him given the way he likes to take a back seat and stay out of the spotlight
January 23, 201610 yr I'm sure he cries himself to sleep over not seeing a banner with his name on it at Stamford Bridge. Then he checks his bank balance and buys a new helicopter to console himself.
January 24, 201610 yr I think RA has been wonderful for the club overall. As a person though, he is hardly interactive with the fans/media and is an enigma as far as I am concerned. Hard to love someone you don't 'know' isn't it. His desire for pretty footy has been part of our recent downfall though - we sputtered through the second half of last season and our woes this season are well documented. Partly stemming from this Barca-lite codswallop driven by him as far as I know from JM's & forum witterings. Watched the WHUFC match yesterday (on the box) and Jesus I was in disbelief as it finally dawned on me how shoot we are at the moment - I was admiring a proper English footy team filled with pace, power and purpose that actually played as one tight unit. They are way ahead of us at the moment and that's the truth. One piddly little high-flair AM in a team playing in the Prem' is more than enough - lovely little geodesic triangles do not win matches here. For anyone still lusting for top 4/6/8 - it'll be a goddamned miracle to get out of the bottom half this season.
January 24, 201610 yr Yes, said the same last night watching the game, pace, and power everything we lack. Really can't see us threatening the top next season either, we have fallen so far behind the top teams its frightening.
May 16, 201610 yr Not sure if this has already been posted elsewhere? extract from Ancelotti's book. Roman sounds a right barrel of laughs!! https://www.reddit.com/r/chelseafc/comments/4jk7st/ancelotti_we_won_60_and_i_was_ordered_to/
May 16, 201610 yr Roman obviously learned from his mistakes, but he just wants success and lots of it.
May 16, 201610 yr abramovich sounds like certain people in the match threads in that account- absolutely clueless about the game and with little grasp on reality.
May 16, 201610 yr Wow, there must be some amazing juicy stories our previous managers could tell, i await jose' book with baited anticipation....
May 16, 201610 yr an interesting read from the pen of Carlo the 'gag order' clause in his settlement package must of expired Roman sounds like a right difficult tw*t to work for, and sadly what Carlo is inferring is not really news to us, however it does make the other Board members we rag on look somewhat better, seems as though they have no choice but to go along with whatever he wants as well what a way to run a top football club, still unlike Ashley & his Toon, CFC arent going down, so fairplay to RA I suppose.
May 16, 201610 yr Abramovich demands success despite how unrealistic it may be, better than some who are content for a Champions League place.
May 16, 201610 yr Roman has been trying to find our identity ever since firing Jose first time round. He has to realise you need more than a season or two to get one. It doesn't come over night.
May 16, 201610 yr What I don't get us Roman courted Carlo for a long tine yet seemed to be on his case from day one. No wonder Carlo said he woukdnt return when questioned. I love what Roman's done for us but he's made some incredibly rash and dumb decisions in his time, sacking Carlo might be the big one for me. Also reading that it sounds like Ray Wilkins was sacked to out pressure on Carlo. I've always felt Roman's been to obsessed with the Champions League, the fans always seemed more fussed about the Premier League (I know I was) but he's always wanted more in Europe. Also not don't know about anyone else but since we captured 'the Holy Grail' winning it again hasn't really no taken priority to me. Edited May 16, 201610 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
May 16, 201610 yr "Prior to the Man United CL game, He told me individually that if we lost then I was not to bother coming back to work.". That's a pretty shocking statement if true. I cannot see how saying to anyone regardless of how much money they earn supports them to achieve their targets. It's even more annoying that we got rid of Carlo to get AVB. I never believed that Roman was that direct. I love Roman and do believe that he is abit more patient these days. I hope he's learned from his mistakes.
