Is it just me or does he struggle with the final ball and/or finishing? He seems like he's always in the right area but has troubles setting up the final play.

That's why he never made it as a winger here.

Boko Harem must have been screwing when Moses crossed himself. Good, terrorist f**ktards.

He probably should have done better with his finish from Costa's through ball but i thought he created a decent number of chances. He played a fair few decent crosses to the back post to pick Alonso and Hazard at times. We just weren't sharp enough in our finish.

“I could see his potential from the first days of the summer training camp. Moses has important qualities: technique, physical strength, the ability to cover seventy meters of the pitch.”

“I find it incredible that someone like him has been underestimated.”

Managerial fraudster, charlatan and sh*tehawk Jose Mourinho wrote him off. His imbecilic flock of sheep wrote him off and didn't even want him in the squad. Decent, proper Chelsea fans felt he deserved a chance to at least prove himself.

That chance has arrived (thanks to a proper manager and not a chequebook wielding asset stripper), and he's taken it.

I didn't want him in the squad because he's a sh*t winger, and i wasn't banking on Conte going to three at the back so soon (i thought he needed at least two windows before it became possible with this squad). However he's actually world class as a wing back and i am delighted one of those wing back positions have been sorted in house considering it's one the hardest position's to fill adequately.

I think its quite obvious i don't really like Mourinho but think this is a bit harsh. In the past Mourinho has wanted his own type of players, regardless of how much they cost. Mad to call him a fraudster when he has achieved so much in the game. So a fan can only be decent and 'proper Chels' by wanting Moses in the squad? At least try not to slag off half the fan base when making your points please.

Utterly ridiculous point. Moses was a fairly average winger who, at the time, was consistently failing to make it into the first XIs of sides worse than ours. It seemed like, at worst, we were losing out on a squad player who played in a position for which we had plenty of cover.

Did anyone honestly foresee all of the following? Probably not even Conte himself.

1) That we'd be forced to drastically change formation

2) That Moses would be an instant fit out-of-position within that new formation.

One thing I have wondered is where Ramires would fit into Conte's side had he never left. If everything else had gone the same way he would certainly have entered my mind as an emergency wing-back before Moses would have.

I don't think it's a ridiculous point at all. Moses was great for us when we used to play him instead of the trio of Mata - Oscar - Hazard, as he always worked really hard, tracked back and offered bundles of energy. It wasn't just the effort and that he always put a good shift in, he generally played pretty well too. He wasn't a world beater, but was a solid better that complimented the others. With Mourinho's arrival he was actually great in pre-season, and never got a chance to prove himself beyond that... He doesn't seem the type of player who would refuse to sit on the bench and wait for an opportunity too, so I am guessing Mourinho just saw him surplus to requirements (like he does often without giving players a proper chance.) From memory he was rubbish for Liverpool, but he was decent for West Ham -- and has always been a solid performer when I have seen him play for us.

Bore off mate and change the record.

Your obsession with slagging off Mourinho all the time is tiresome and you make yourself sound like a f**king idiot.

Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea's most successful manager in it's history.

Deal with it.

kablamo is getting a lot of flak for his methods, and sure he isn't above using the dark arts or relying on devastating counter attacks on other posters. yes, his posting style is mainly reactive and he employs deeply defensive lines against anyone who opposes him, but he is highly quotable, his consistency is remarkable and his results are undeniable.

truly, he is the jose mourinho of internet forum posters.

He must be doing it to distract from the poor form we are in...

... oh wait, we're in great f**king form :D

Hellooooo, that guy was making a valid point about Moses. Am yet to see a sh*t player score at least 10 goals for us in his first season and especially at that tender age of Moses. Moses has always been a good player just that since he left Wigan he is yet to find a manager that believe in his ability until the arrival of Conte.
And let me remind you, when Conte came here, playing the 3-4-3 formation wasn't his plan A yet immediately he saw Moses in preseason he saw something Jose was blind to, Conte was impressed. So even if we didn't switch to the 3-4-3 formation Moses is always gonna be in Conte's plan not necessarily as a WB.
And pertaining to José, well am grateful for what he achieved here. But the club made one of the best decision I have ever seen by sacking him last year. Imagine he still around, there is a real probability we won't have most of the players in our squad right now. Hazard and Costa won't even be here right now and they probably would have been replaced by Zlatan and Pogba. So José leaving gave a lot of our young players the hope that they can make it here because the new Manager doesn't care about your name, he cares more about your commitment to his philosophy regardless of your age.

Tell us how you really feel!

Moses was the one of the best players during preseason the last few seasons. I think the issue was Jose liked to work with a small group of players and didn't want spend his time with the 'average' player. Look at the Jose team for the past 3 seasons, it's always that 14-15 play regularly.

Suddenly everyone on the forum seen how amazing Moses was when he was here before and failing on all these loan spells... right ok.

He was a bang average winger & was having pretty average to say the least loan spells, he didn't exactly tear it up.

he done well in pre season, but he was in no way better than what we had at that point in time.

He's been terrific since we changed formation and he went in at RWB, but if you're saying you seen that coming... I think you're a liar.

As for the usual Jose abusing bandwagon, are you even Chelsea fans? The most successful manager in our history, it's cringeworthy.

Gonna like this because it made me laugh pretty hard, not cause I agree with it.

Getting loaned every season to different clubs doesn't help a young players settle. Most on here always wanted Moses to stay and given a chance but the manager at the time didn't see it that way just like he didn't see KDB RL Mata as good enough
