July 14, 201412 yr Drogs may be coming back in an attempt to assist Lukaku with becoming that 'complete' striker he has been telling the world he is already.
July 14, 201412 yr Drogba made his legend. Don't tarnish it I don't see how it would, we wouldn't expect much from him now and his legacy still remains
July 14, 201412 yr I don't see how it would, we wouldn't expect much from him now and his legacy still remains Ouch! That's a killer remark "we wouldn't expect much from him now". That sort of sums up why neither the club nor Drogba himself should even consider coming back.
July 14, 201412 yr Ouch! That's a killer remark "we wouldn't expect much from him now". That sort of sums up why neither the club nor Drogba himself should even consider coming back. You have to think what the players could learn from him though and he might pop up with a vital goal or two
July 14, 201412 yr Never thought I'd ever have the feeling of Not wanting drogba at the club...just feel his legacy should be kept intact and also his presence would surely be intimidating for Costa and whoever else we have up front next season
July 14, 201412 yr I don't think the main reason for having Drogba back would be to play! Having him on the training ground coaching and bringing him on to defend a corner with 10 minutes to go would be about right. For that, i'd love to see him back!
July 15, 201412 yr Drogba coming back in a coaching role would be fantastic. It wouldn't hurt to have him registered as a player in case of a genuine, dire emergency like Costa and Lukaku getting injured.
July 15, 201412 yr The last kick of his Chelsea career was to win us the Champions League ...that's how I want it to remain. But I would love him back as a coach along with Super Frank in a couple of years. Edited July 15, 201412 yr by DELBY

July 15, 201412 yr Drogba coming back in a coaching role would be fantastic. It wouldn't hurt to have him registered as a player in case of a genuine, dire emergency like Costa and Lukaku getting injured. I don't think we could afford a squad place to him under those circumstances.
July 16, 201412 yr Coach ? Yes. As a player it would be a backward step. We need to move on, seriously.
July 16, 201412 yr I would be willing to bet that Drobga at 36 is still better Torres. All this talk about his last kick. It doesn't matter! Nothing can take that away from him. I say bring him home and give him 1 to 1 lessons with Lukaku.
July 16, 201412 yr I absolutely 1 million % do not want Didi back as a player, he left perfectly, and if he donned the Jersey in an official game again it might tarnish that. As a coach, hell yes!
July 16, 201412 yr As he has not yet done his badges, we would have to bring him back on a player contract, although that doesn't mean he will play, we simply have him at training sessions, on the bench and at same time he does his badges. Having him around will do the kids the world of good.
July 16, 201412 yr That isn't strictly true, he would require a coaching badge to be a head coach, but he could come back and coach, while doing his badges. Ex pro's are fast tracked, so I'm sure he could get his badges very quickly.
July 16, 201412 yr You cannot be registered as a coach without your badges, ask Duncan Ferguson at Everton.
July 17, 201412 yr The only way if love him to come back is if we sell Torres. Costa and Lukaku as first choice with Didi mentoring and being available if needed. I think it would be a show of faith for Lukaku to sell both Ba, Eto'o and Torres , it would also be a great stop gap for a year whilst Bamford has a PL loan for a year. July 17, 201412 yr we'll never get anyone to buy Torres. I'd keep Lukaku and if Didier wants to come to Chelsea to do his coaching badges then great
July 18, 201412 yr At the moment the best trio of attackers I could think of (realistic) is: Diego as our main man, Lukaku as our impact sub and second fiddle and Drogba for Arsenal. I would absolutely love him to come back. Nothing will be tarnished. Lukaku would learn a great deal from him.
July 18, 201412 yr Drogs may be coming back in an attempt to assist Lukaku with becoming that 'complete' striker he has been telling the world he is already. Where has Lukaku called himself a complete striker?

"I don't know, I jusr turned around and kicked it." great lessons 10/10
