September 25, 201510 yr How many of our direct rivals have a 19 year old getting the minutes that RLC is. City I can't think of any, United have the new kid (who does looks special) Arsenal, I can't think of any currently and Leicester, I'm not aware of their team so much.. Puts it in to perspective, and I think considering the amount of flack Jose gets about never trusting youth we should really take the bigger picture in to account. By the way we have 3 19 year old all getting a decent amount of minutes, if we can get traore some time as well and improve his development their can be few complaints. The next question is can we successfully integrate Baker or Solanki who are doing pretty well so far on loan It's shocking to think Leicester are probably more threat to us at the top than Liverpool/Spurs this season
September 25, 201510 yr Leicester are quality, plus they have a total legend as manager. In terms of youngsters they have that Dodoo guy who has 4 goals in 2 games in the League Cup.
September 26, 201510 yr Hector Bellerin only turned 20 in March. He's already got more than 30 senior appearances for Arsenal. That's the sort of game time I'm hoping RLC can get. That means you have no competition in the squad. Seems Arsenal is in that situation. However Bellerin is pretty good.
September 26, 201510 yr Zouma on 20 at the moment. If RLC gets about 15 games by the end of the season I'll be happy. Would like more but bein realistic
September 26, 201510 yr That means you have no competition in the squad. Seems Arsenal is in that situation. However Bellerin is pretty good. Arsenal have plenty of competition at right back, Bellerin, Debuchy and Chambers... In fact they have better competition than us. For all Wengers faults the one thing he deserve credit for is having the faith to play youth players if he thinks they're good enough. The numbers of players under the age of 21 he's bought through and trained is unmatched in the Premier League. I'll be happy if Jose shows a similar trust in RLC.
September 26, 201510 yr In fairness Debuchy has been injured so theres a possibility Bellerin wouldnt have played as many games.
September 26, 201510 yr Me either. I really think he's pretty poor out wide. He's much more effective in the middle of the pitch IMO. Only in a 3 man midfield for me.
September 26, 201510 yr He is more than ready, start him today. Edited September 26, 201510 yr by TrueBlueBIH
September 26, 201510 yr In fairness Debuchy has been injured so theres a possibility Bellerin wouldnt have played as many games. But at Chelsea when our key players are injured we play someone out of position rather than entrusting youth. Nothing wrong with doing that but don't think we should be slapping ourselves on the back about RLC just yet.
September 26, 201510 yr I could point to zouma getting games but that is the exception, can't argue that we don't use youth enough.
September 26, 201510 yr We can afford to be patient as i feel he will have a long and successful career with us.
September 26, 201510 yr I really expect to see him getting only stronger and strong to the next games. He's not even on bench for Newcastle today and I don't understand why, but it doesn't matter, he has to stay strong and keep fighting for his place.

He's not even on bench for Newcastle today and I don't understand why, but it doesn't matter, he has to stay strong and keep fighting for his place. If Mikel and Ramires played poor against Walsall, then i wouldn't be able understand why he isn't on the bench today. Mikel and Ramires were probably our best players against Walsall, so them being on the bench today ahead of RLC is fair enough.
September 26, 201510 yr This is real? Pleasepleaseplease be real Why would that be fake, they have been at the club for years.
September 26, 201510 yr Mourinho thinks Loftus-Cheek isn't physically ready for the league yet.............well, maybe he should take a look at Fabregas and Matic then. Fabregas is the weakest player in our team right now and even though Matic looks big, he has been getting brushed off the ball too easily for some time now.
September 26, 201510 yr Please, Jose give him a chance! He can't be worse than Fabregas, every minute he will be given he will reach experience and improving himself. All he need is trust from Jose, I think he reached the trust from the fans already. Everyone noticed that we have big problems in the central, but I don't want us to buy a CM for 50m in January to block RLC and Ramires.

I'm fairly sure he was talking about stamina rather than physical strength.
October 3, 201510 yr Do we want him playing now though the way the team is performing?? Such a big difference playing in a team dominating teams amd winning to playing in a team that are struggling
October 4, 201510 yr I got this from WAGNH. (http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/10/4/9448319/mourinho-loftus-cheek-to-start-get-run-of-games) Props to Mr. Bleacher Report for getting that question in and getting a quality response. Mourinho continued. "My job is not so simple because I have to measure the situation and ask myself in difficult moments if the best thing is to keep more experienced players. Can they cope better with the pressure of the moment?""You do the same. When I don't play Terry to play Zouma you are the first ones to say immediately: "why aren't you playing the captain?" With Ruben, it's exactly the same thing. Ruben, Matic, Ramires, Fabregas - who can cope better with the pressure? I know Fabregas for sure, but maybe the situation is so negative for us a young player feels less pressure than when the team is top of the league fighting for a victory to be champions." "Clearly it's time - not to play four, five or six kids because some of them are not ready - but I think Ruben is the one who is more ready. If everything goes normally in the next two weeks yes, he is a player to start the next game and have a run of matches to try to get that stability as a first-team choice." -Jose Mourinho; source: Chelsea FC Edited October 4, 201510 yr by CFCholland
