Thibaut Courtois

I think you can see he is enjoying himself playing for Chelsea again and he's been solid as a rock when called upon lately so keep it going Thibaut! Seems to have a great relationship with Luiz which is both important and very nice to see aswell.

I was going to say that with our current run of clean sheets that he must be near the record for minutes without conceding (540) but then I remembered Cech's immense 900+ minute run and Van der Sar's even more impressive 1000 something run. Makes you appreciate how good our defence (and United's for that matter) used to be

1311 minutes apparently for Van der Saar. That's 14 and a half games. Crazy.

An absurd record- amazing how United didn't break our fewest goals conceded record that season. Would be interesting to see who United played in that run and who we played during Cech's run (if memory serves me correctly we played some top teams and then he eventually conceded against Blackburn? Or did he save a penalty against Blackburn to break the record??)

I wonder how many shots on target he has faced in this run, I dont remember the opposition having too many shots on target during this run. Yesterday he made a save which was fairly routine and I remember a decent couple of saves against United especially one against Ibra, other than that nothing much comes to mind.

Just to clarify not taking a dig at Tibo as I understand that not having much to do as a keeper makes the odd save even more difficult due to concentration issues. Just really surprised at the change around in our defensive work, for a good 12 months our keeper and defense were just inundated with pressure by sitting back yet leaving huge holes, can't remember any manager in recent history having such a big & positive impact on a team within such a small time frame.

I know one of VDS's 14 was a 3-0 win against us.

I'm more interested in team-oriented record rather than individual record.. A consecutive victory clean sheet is 8 games currently held by MU, 3 more to go..

He's starting to perform like the keeper we all hoped he would be. Earnt us points tonight - massive save.

I'm glad to see it, i was wondering if it was ever going to happen. He made 2 big saves for us tonight, the one at the end being the best.

Top class saves, surely he wouldn't have seen the shot until it's smashing towards the net for the second goal. That's the thing I love about the EPL, you could be dominating 89 minutes, yet the other team throw long balls up in the end, and it's anyone's game.
