Diego "the guv'nor" Costa

Featured Replies

I love how some opposing fans are coming on and saying things like "why are you surprised Costas been banned" etc. When if they actually bothered to read the posts they'd see we aren't but what we aren't happy about is the inconsistent FA and many of us have provided clear examples of this. Also to add that Gabriel has been let off because he didn't actually make contact with Costa when we've seen in the past players getting done for intent is yet another Inconsistency. So can all the Gooners, Mancs and whoever actually bother to read what people are saying and look at the facts provided before chiming in with the same old Costas a c**t drivel yada yada. When the issue here is the FA and their continuous inconsistencies that are often fuelled by the media.

Can anyone identify the moment football became so pathetic, prissy, crap and bitchy that it now belongs more in the pages of Hello! And OK! Type magazines than on the pitch? I can barely be bothered to watch it anymore, the match itself us now almost a sideshow to the of field sh*te.

Perfectly put dkw. I'm feeling much like this myself at the mo'. The game I've loved all my life is becoming a farce, more akin to a soap opera or a tacky girlie magazine..(Sorry Ladies)..a lot of old bitches who masquerade as T.V pundits and Journo's are now controlling the game more than the officials    :face_palm:

Has anyone seen a single decent press article weighing up the implications of the FA's decision to rescind Gabriel's card? If so, can you provide a link because I am stunned at the lack of sensible analysis of what this decision means.

I read in the Mirror that Arsenal somehow 'proved' it wasn't a red because Costa tangled with the Ox about 40 minutes later, which sums up the level of sports reporting in the UK.

How inconsistent can you get?

Not sure whether mentioned before, but strangely enough Halsey reckoned that Gabriel should have been banned for elbowing Arnautovic a week earlier:

Can't find a video but it was at around the 70th minute of the Arsenal - Stoke match.

If the FA follows the precedent set for Diego (which they won't), they may set a new record for retrospective bans.

I am not surprised or shocked at the blatant incompetence, inconsistency and impartiality showcased by the absolute numpties known as the FA. They are just trying to appease AFC and required a reason to rub it in Mourinho after he has called them out and showed them the mirror last season.

I am actually pleased this has taken place as this will show some ignorant CFC fans who think that there are no double standards when it comes to the FA. Hopefully this episodes ignites the team into life and we kickstart our season, They talk about decisions levelling themselves out over the course of the season but the minute we get a decision in our favor sh*t hits the fan.

To be honest I am just surprised we didnt get 3 points docked and rewarded to Arsenal instead.

I really don't think the FA would have done this (even against us) had any team other than Arsenal been involved.

Wenger can do no wrong as the shove on Mourinho in the technical area proves and the media and the way they go on about them playing their football the right way makes it seem to the casual sports pages reader like every season Arsenal are somehow cheated out of winning the title.

It would be a bit of Karma if this three match ban is just what Costa needs to have his hamstring hold out for the rest of the season and for Falcao to suddenly find his form of a few seasons back.

Ok so i was a c**t yesterday, but I won't be today.

What I think now that the FA have had their say.

Costa 3 game ban, don't know what you guys were waiting for. He hit Koscienly 2 times, and then pushed him on the ground. I'm all for bullying defenders and imposing yourself, winding them up and stuff, but that was nothing like that. That was Costa hitting a guy with no reason and it's a red card, if you don't see that you have a problem.

Gabriel red card over turned. That I don't get, the only logical explanation is that they said " the ref made a huge mistake, Costa should have been off...and we will go easy on him", but even then it's stupid. But it means nothing, and I don't know why you are angry. He is not Arsenal's first choice, he will be on the bench on the next game....I really think they don't even care.

Wenger moans WOW, shocker, all manager moans. All Mourinho has did this season is moan in every interview i saw. That's what you lot are doing now. So get off your high horse. Mourinho said Costa was the Man of The Match on the weekend. He knew why he said that, and he knew he will get the ban. He will take that.

The only, and I mean only problem now is that Costa might be a marked man. We will see.

100% correct mate, don't bother trying to get this lot to see it though. All fans are biased but consider the level of mental gymnastics it takes to justify the actions of men like mourinho and costa. I tried yesterday, in a very reasonable manner similar to yours, but quickly learned: its really not worth your time.

And yet here you are to educate us from up high.

3 red cards in 2 games, please tell us more about how terrible we are. Please continue pretending gabriel did nothing wrong.

But preferably do it on an arsenal forum.

Can't be bothered to quote myself but I've clearly said Gabriel deserved a red.

I'll leave it at that though, won't be posting on here again. Good luck to you lot this season.

Absolute losers logging into a rivals forum every day trying to wind folk up lol.

I suppose we should feel sorry for them but they are gooners and gooners are losers after all.....

Can't be bothered to quote myself but I've clearly said Gabriel deserved a red.

Must have missed it sorry. Good to know. He is a lucky boy getting off so lightly.

Be honest.

Without Wenger publicly sobbing to the media about yet another loss at the hands of the famous, do you think Costa would have been reprimanded?

It's ridiculous. Wenger and the Arsenal sympathising media are forever moaning about something.

We will just continue as champions as Wenger moans away about his lack of trophies.

Serious question. Why are you wasting yours and everyone else's time? You're on a Chelsea site, remember. This site is no more biased towards Chelsea than for instance, Arsenal-mania is towards Arsenal, in fact I would say that on this site, reasonable opposing fans are made far more welcome than on the majority of club-specific forums.

You on the other hand, have come here as an Arsenal fans telling Chelsea fans that they have no right to think as they do. That we as a fanbase are deluded and all the usual bollocks we hear day in day out from any number of sanctimonious gobsh*tes such as yourself.

You slag off Costa, you slag off Mourinho, you slag off Chelsea fans. You know nothing outside of what you read in the media. In Costa's very first game for the club he was clearly fouled in the penalty area, and yet was booked for diving. What the f**k do you know? These things happen to Chelsea players on an all too regular basis. Hazard and Torres were also booked for "simulation" when clearly fouled. And don't give me this shtie about their reputations preceding them, last season there was a spate of Chelsea players booked for diving. Chelsea players being made an example of ,The very worst example of this kind of thing was when Jonny Evans drop-kicked Didier Drogba in the stomach. And what happened. Drobga was booked for simulation.

I could go on and on and on. I could tell you about the FA changing their own rules specifically in order to pursue THAT case against John Terry, the one where he was found not guilty in a court of law, in which it was clearly stated that "John Terry is not a racist".

Why am I telling you this? Why am I bothering? because I have had it up to hear with sanctimonious gobsh*te c**ts like yourself passing off their own one-eyed opinins as "fact", ludicrously claiming some kind of moral high ground, looking down their pretentious ignorant noses spouting the same old brand of bullsh*t about this club that I have supported for nigh on half a century.

Who the f**k do you think you are? f**k off and do one.

WHilst, as you know I disagree with most of the opinions on here about this, I find it amusing that Arsenal fans get so upset about Costa deliberately trying to wind up their players into getting sent off, so in response, they come here and deliberately try to wind us up.... Not exactly the moral high ground is it?

Don't come on a Chelsea forum and start giving out sh*t without reading posts properly you f**king pea sized brained moron.

Costa is winding up people he really does. Costa tries to get an edge over his opponent absolutely but he is not a dirty player. Dirty player tackles from behind or dangerous tackles. What Costa does doesn't affect any players career in terms of injuries. I like Costa when he is really battling but I don't enjoy seeing what he did vs Arsenal. He caused a scene which wasn't from a football game. He got Dean and Arsenal players fooled but now he deservedly gets his ban.

I do wonder how this will affect the man himself.

There were stories all summer about him wanting to go back to Spain and Atletico, this is now his second 3 game ban since joining us and I wonder if he feels he is a victim in all of this? I hope not but you could understand him being P****d off with the constant video punishment that never happened to him in Spain.

We also know he doesn’t really benefit from sitting in the stands and it takes him a handful of games after a spell out to get back to any kind of decent form, it’s bad for both us and Costa.
