July 11, 201511 yr We are not in desperate need of strengthening like our rivals our. Our squad was miles ahead of any of our rivals in terms of quality last season. I'm not worried about Falcao as he won't be first choice. Diego, providing he is fit, will be banging in the goals for us. There will be no pressure on Falcao to lead our attack. He will get his opportunities though. Courtois in goal. Made a few errors last season but also made outstanding saves. Can only get better. Begovic as a no2 would be ideal. Our defence is still the best in the country. Terry will be a year older but Zouma has already proved to be a quality CB as well as an decent CDM. Our Midfield is strong with Matic as the anchor. Fabregas and Ramires, whilst not the best defensively... are better suited to more offensive roles. RLC joining the first team is very promising as well as Zouma being an option and also Mikel I suppose. Hazard being the best player in the league speaks for itself. Willian, Oscar and Cuadrado also there. Hopefully Bertrand Traore will get opportunities too. I'm not worried. Still have one of the best squads and the best team. Other clubs have made great signings but you don't know for sure that they'll make a great team.
July 11, 201511 yr So Casillas has gone to Porto. De Gea is definitely on his way then. Hopefully we get the deal for Begovic done before someone else goes in for him. If United go for Lloris then i can easily see Tottenham going in for Begovic. And if United can't get Lloris they may go in for Begovic themselves.
July 11, 201511 yr Interesting that a lot of you are not overwhelmed my Bastian to United. It seems like most United fans aren't either - probably to do with age and injury issues, as well as our experience with Falcao last season. I'm ecstatic though, he is a proven top quality player who is not as injury prone as some are making out and the main reason he left Bayern is because of a falling out with Pep, rather than that he was deemed no longer good enough. If we can get both him and Schneiderlin I think a midfield three of those two plus Herrera/Mata would be in the top two in the league, easily. That's a big deal for us considering only a few years ago our midfield contained Anderson - Cleverley. Good signing, good player, wanted him a few years ago. THink he has history with LVG that should help out. Excited to see him in the prem

July 12, 201511 yr Schweinsteiger is still a good player and adds a lot of experience to United's ranks, but he's not the force that he was a few years ago. Interested to see how he does in the PL. if they get Schneiderlin as well then that DM looks pretty solid to be fair. I'm not overly worried by our inactivity in the market as yet. I still feel that we have easily the strongest squad of players 1-16/17. But the question is, will that be enough? Last season showed that we didn't have enough depth to compete on all fronts. Adding RLC into the mix is good but I feel that we could do with another DM, especially as Mikel looks to be leaving. An AM like Griezmann would be good, but only if it's an improvement on what we have.
July 12, 201511 yr Liverpool allegedly after Marco Reus to replace Sterling. That would be a good signing.
July 12, 201511 yr ^He signed a new contract fairly recently, he's not going anywhere. Even if he wanted to leave there would be many more attractive destinations than Liverpool.
July 12, 201511 yr What a first touch from the ex Coventry player... http://gfycat.com/SnivelingImpureLarva

July 12, 201511 yr What a first touch from the ex Coventry player... http://gfycat.com/SnivelingImpureLarva Fantastic. Reminiscent of Bergkamp and, er, Simon Cox.
July 12, 201511 yr Best thing i've seen this week I'd have said capturing big Pete would be up there!!
July 12, 201511 yr 14.4mill is a cracking deal for Bastian. For that price it is a shame we did not try for him too.
July 12, 201511 yr http://www.joe.co.uk/sport/stevie-gee-gets-lost-in-galaxy-of-stars/7685 US Soccer Guy's report on Slippy's debut "In the most humongous moment of his soccering career, Gee entered the StubHub Center field to whoops and hollers of support from the bleachers. Clearly overawed by his new surroundings, this soccer game was clearly a pretty big step up for him." Edited July 12, 201511 yr by Beerqueen
July 12, 201511 yr If Reus was available then i am sure many more clubs would be in for him ahead of Liverpool.
July 12, 201511 yr City agre £49 million deal with Sterling, have you ever heard anything like that in you life? That amount of money paid for a 20 year old who scored 7 goals last season, Liverpool should be very very chuffed, great bit of business
