March 10, 201610 yr Amazing that it's March and he's not even play a game yet. Just daft. There's only 9 games left in the season.
March 10, 201610 yr Does anyone remember Quaresma? He was good in both training and games (2?) he played for us - but one of them was still with Scolari, and after Hiddink just did not use the player "because he was on loan"... Now we may see almost the same story with Pato.
March 10, 201610 yr Amazing that it's March and he's not even play a game yet. Just daft. There's only 9 games left in the season. And we don't even need him either. It may be just a loan deal but in what way has this signing helped the club ? The Pato signing is just another example of the poor decisions this club makes.
March 11, 201610 yr It's possible we will only have 9 games left in the season after this weekend, make me wonder if Pato will beat Papi's 2 minutes cameo by the end of the season. He basically used Chelsea training facility like a gym, and still got paid in full doing that.

March 17, 201610 yr Goodbye Pato, I read we want to end his loan. http://blogs.lance.com.br/blogdojanca/2016/03/16/pato-de-volta/ Anyone speak Portugese?
Chelsea doesn't want to keep Pato. He's been at the English club for a month and a half and in the next few weeks the forward could be sent back to Corinthians. He hasn't even been seated at the bench as a substitute. Chelsea's evaluation of the situation is that it was a mistake to get him on loan for 6 months and that there is no interest in hiring him. A pineapple to Corinthians. Pato hasn't played since November, he is out of form and with physical issues, plus he is not considered an important player for the English club. The analysis gets worse as the forward player is not striving as much as he could to gain form and fight for a place in the first lineup. The situation is complicated. For Chelsea and for Corinthians, who are not going to use him in the second semestre and doesn't find a team in the market that would want him.
March 17, 201610 yr Assuming that this report is true, it's another definite mark against the club as practically everyone predicted this. What's that saying about repeating the same mistakes over?
March 17, 201610 yr Says a lot when an organisation rimmed with massively paid professionals knew less about the player’s ability then a fan forum whose knowledge of the player had been built up on YouTube videos.

March 17, 201610 yr "A pineapple to Corinthians"??? Yep, I think it is an expression meaning it is a difficult situation for corinthians.
March 17, 201610 yr Still a better signing than Cuadrado. Commentator last night was rather amusing saying there was no chance he would score that goal in a Chelsea shirt. We all know he'd have tripped over his laces and knocked it out for a goal kick.

March 17, 201610 yr Yep, I think it is an expression meaning it is a difficult situation for corinthians. Yeah, I'm from Brazil, it means exactly this. It's hard to manage.
March 17, 201610 yr And Pato... he got some talent, but he seems a player with no passion for the game anymore.
March 17, 201610 yr I have no real problem with us signing him. Obviously it turned out poorly, but a short term loan deal for a player that could have potentially been talented isn't really a big deal. It was very clearly an evaluation period and our evaluators said it's not worth it. I think in January we didn't want to buy any big players considering we were in manager turnover mode. Hiddink won't be here next year so buying players that the new manager may or may not like is pretty poor business. Bringing in short term players for evaluation is probably smarter business. All things considered though, it turned out to be a waste of time.
March 17, 201610 yr Reckon he just wanted a jolly to London, once a degenerate always a degenerate (will prob score a hatrick against West Ham now haha). Give Abraham his place.

I had only remembered once, so to me a 100% improvement. Still, I'm in total "SMH WTF" mode. If this is a bit of an embarrassment for the club, think what this says about Pato. It's probably China for him next.

All things considered though, it turned out to be a waste of time. You absolutely have a point that it was a shot to nothing, a 'risk-free' move where if it works out well we get a player at a cut-price and if it doesn't then we only lose wages which in the grand scheme of things isn't too much. But what does that say about the club that we were doing such things? How lacking in a cohesive strategy are we that we're gambling on once great players regaining fitness and form....again!!! Sure you can occasionally swing for the fences when you've got a comfortable lead, but this wasn't that. This was a desperation move from a 'board' compounding their previous failures by wasting everyone's time.
