Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

The term you are referring to was used by a famous PL manager without any consequences.

Mourinho stated that "he would never be suspended for match-fixing". Part of what Jose said was true - Conte was suspended for match-fixing but he was also subsequently exonerated. Do you see the difference or are you totally obtuse?

I thought he wasn't suspend for match fixing but for having knowledge of It going on and not reporting it?

Get your facts straight little boy. Conte failed to report the match-fixing. Therefore what Mourinho said is essentially the same.

Don‘t talk without knowledge

Yes - that was the associative charge levelled at him but of course they couldn't prove it & so subsequently they dropped it.

Yeah it was dropped, and from memory the evidence was very weak. Calling him a match fixer is just plain wrong.

Absolutely shocking. Look at us, absolute shambles.

I'd rather have us lose 8-0 if we showed some effort and tried something than that "defending a 1-0 loss" sh*t there.

gee...haven't been called a boy for a long time...that made me chuckle.

You originally stated that Conte was a match-fixer - but there is no proof of that. Mourinho did not say the same at all. Therein lies the difference but given that you can't appreciate that difference, or admit to same, there is no point in any further engagement with you.

Even when we were struggling in the past at least the players tried, dug in, actually made f**king tackles... That there in that video is pathetic.

Would Conte get the same payout now and in the summer? Surely there wouldn’t be much in it. He needs to be put out of his misery. I can see why the club wouldn’t want to sack yet another league winning manager but he wants to go.

Man City are better than Barcelona.

I don’t think we were good against Barcelona. You could argue we were solid defensively, but we were beaten on every other metric.

Maybe if we want to park the bus for 90 mins we should buy workhorses and physical players instead of making technical players park the bus. We can't reasonably expect Pedro, Hazard, Willian and Fabregas to run about without the ball all game. They're not physically built for it

Sad thing is it was inevitable as soon as I read his quotes from his pre-match presser. It was obvious our players would be unmotivated. I wonder if he's ever thought of trying to galvanise his squad instead of moaning like a bitch every time somebody puts a mike in front of him? Maybe that idea's a bit too radical.

I remember Ferguson in his last season at Utd, with a far inferior squad than that of some of his rivals, and a far smaller transfer budget. Won the league at a canter. Didn't moan once about the hand he'd been dealt. Saw it as a challenge.

Conte's got a different idea of management, and it's not my idea. I think he's spoilt and petulant. No sooner had he got kicked out of the Euros than he held a press conference slagging off the Italian Federation, and it was exactly the same story at Juve. He throws his toys out the pram when he doesn't get exactly what he wants and that's what he's done here.

I'm telling you right now folks, before our game against Barcelona, he'll be at it again, sapping all the spirit from our players before a ball's been kicked.

The definition of insanity? Trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Perhaps he doesn't want different results, perhaps he just wants to make his point, in case we hadn't heard it the previous thousand times.

He's conveyed such a negative message all season, he's made it so obvious he wants out, today we saw the culmination of that, a team literally going through the motions, a team as uninterested as their manager, a team as unfocused.

I apologised to Nibs earlier for calling this guy a c**t. I take that apology back. He's shat on his paymasters, he's shat on his players and he's shat on the fans. It's a miserable season from start to finish and it's all because he's had a face like a slapped arse.

Instead of moaning and moaning and moaning just quit. Sadly he hasn't got the integrity.

Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer,[a] is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world's most popular sport.[3][4][5][6]The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by moving the ball beyond the goal line into the opposing goal.

Not always.

It wasn’t too long ago that Abramovich didn’t like our style of play and wanted to play like Barcelona. So what the hell did he make of that crap today? I’ve no idea what the clubs ambition is anymore. We know they have to finance and build this new stadium and I can only put their recent frugality down to that. But Conte is there to get the best out of the players. At the moment he is totally demoralising them because I agree with Davey ... he just wants out with a nice big pay off.
