October 13, 20169 yr The club have told Sky that the reports regarding Conte being sacked are absolute nonsense. Bookies are twats

Far bigger things to focus on. Was a pure response to cash being punted. That cash was probably a domino affect of social media bandwagons, but i can assure you bookies wouldnt use this as a marketing strategy. These markets arent ones they expect to make big profit on, its just a low limit service market.

October 13, 20169 yr Have those 2 bookies suspended betting on the US election yet? I don't think Conte's job is in any danger. The first 7 games demonstrated we need more quality players and time to drill out the new system.
October 13, 20169 yr He was never getting sacked, an absolute load of shi*e, no idea what people at the bookies are smoking.
October 14, 20169 yr Bookies suspending bets on Conte being sacked worries me a lot - they are usually on the money for such major events, if they occur. The Board deserves all the abuse it will get if they actually give Conte the boot or cause him to resign. I predicted the latter would happen if Conte isn't backed in the transfer market.

October 14, 20169 yr This makes no sense in the world after 2 losses and reported backing for squad overhaul, it's clear it's the players and no one of Conte's class to replace him, so I call bollox majorly however slight paranoia exists as per the no smoke without fire theory.
October 14, 20169 yr The only way this makes sense is if Conte has had a bust up behind the scenes and wants to leave. Surely not even our board would be this stupid. I'm calling bs ( with fingers crossed)

The market was created and active from the start of the season, it didnt just start yesterday. All I'm saying is the bookies wouldnt make up that there has been an influx of cash, and cut the odds drastically without some substance behind it. Anyway it seems to have blown over thank God. I think there would be anarchy if anything of the sort happened.
October 14, 20169 yr Conte on the suspending betting about him getting sacked: "I am trying to find who put the money on that! I have good communication and relationship with the club and it is nothing" Edited October 14, 20169 yr by ForeverCarefree
October 14, 20169 yr Like i said slow news week easiest club to pick on by the Chelsea hating sports media is obviously Chelsea

I think there would be anarchy if anything of the sort happened. I`m not saying they didnt already have odds on him leaving chelsea, I`m saying they may have created a market by suddenly dropping the odds and enticing punters to bet on it. A gambler sees a drop and may think he has to jump on it. They do it all the time during the transfer window, suddenly a player that has massive odds to join a club drops to 5 or 6-1. They take bets on it, make money on something that has zero chance of happening.
October 15, 20169 yr It got us and the football world in the country all taking about paddy power, they are quite creative marketers so who knows but in the end it's bollox so who cares.

If the odds collapsed its because there has been money for that particular;ar selection. If anything by dropping the odds you are putting the customer off betting that selection, as the returns are less.
October 15, 20169 yr I like that conte risked the youth instead of closing shop entirely. Very nice to see more than one youth product on the field.

No your right, bookies never ever manipulate markets....also in other news bears dont sh*t in the woods and the pope isnt catholic.

Whereas if everyone's talking about it being likely, and you can still get 6-1 on it..
October 15, 20169 yr One would hope this rumour can be put out to pasture now that we've just won 3-0...
