Excellent signing. Think he'll work well in our system. Hold up play much better than either Costa or Lukaku. Works hard, great finisher, and will settle in with our Spanish contingent. 

Is it right we paid much less than what Real Madrid were asking United for him?

    That's garbage IMO. Torres has always spoke well of us when with us and when he left. He regularly tweets when we do well and such.

    58m is what's reported from matt law.  much better than the 80m that was reported when the story broke.

    Very happy with this signing, looking forward to what he can do. I fully expect him and Michy to get alot of games between them next season.

    Maybe all the Man U vs. Real Madrid preseason issues with hotels and pitches caught up to them.  Real Madrid saying here Chelsea, take Morata for far less and go beat those dimwits every chance you get!

    Sadly I don't think that will be the case. If it's true we've signed Morata for the reported 58m I think they've secured an option to buy Hazard or Courtois next summer.

    I didn't mind whether we got lukaku or Morata. But I always felt Morata was more of our type of player, in terms of how we play. I'm happy for this transfer.

    I doubt we care much about his 6 month struggle. He's mugged us off so will need to either move and not play or play in the reserves

    Latest quotes coming out from Atletico were distancing themselves from signing Costa. Essentially said Costa can come back to Madrid on holiday but they have a transfer ban right now. 

    That's not to say they're not just trying to distance themselves from rumours. 

    However, I don't think you can rule anything out right now. We're not going to sell Costa for pennies and might hold onto him until January because he's more use to us, even playing infrequently, than he is to Atletico until their ban is over.

    I hate to type this, but IMHO DC doesn't care. As long as he gets back to Atleti, his world will be complete
