masterclass signing, absolute masterclass, definitely winning the league with a quality keeper like this bloke, only 33 as well? man! what a bargain! many teams must've been dying for him, we sure got lucky!

What are you on about? Hes the third choice goalkeeper. THIRD! Hes not gonna play, he is only here to make up the numbers in practice. The whining in here is seriously embarrassing

Sometimes you have to wonder why we need a third choice keeper in a season we are not competing in the Champions League.

It's rare even if we do.  Amelia played 0 games for us and Schwarzer played like 4 games in two years.  A third choice keeper should be a youngster tbh.

I hear Stephen Hunt's son is having his maiden Premier League season for Hull.

Good signing provided he's a third-choice and not second-choice goalkeeper.

Still hanging around the Portugal NT and was actually fairly good around 2010 or so. He just never really adapted at Genoa and his career spluttered a bit from there.

Young players need to play, the worst place for a young player is 3rd goal keeper.

We will never let our youth keepers into the first team. We can promote youth to sit on the bench if we get an injury! Otherwise 2 GK's is ok.

However if he is happy to become 3rd choice then he has no ambition either.

In a perfect world. I would be more than happy to oblige/

Trust me.

However. this being anything but a perfect world. I'm afraid you're going to have to wait your turn for the Grim Reaper to get round to you.

Patience is a virtue, you know.

Really been a perfect signing, I don't know why you'd complain about a third goalkeeper.

Let's look at him: He's tall, he's very experienced, he's been a regular for Dinamo Zagreb and played a lot of Champions League there too.

What's his role: Third goalkeeper. I couldn't think of a better player for this position. I'm surprised he sits down on the stands, because he could surely be at least #2 elsewhere.

Signed a new 1 year deal at the club. This bloke is living the dream.

I'd love to be him!

Earn a mint, win trophies and travel the world. Not a bad life at all

I have no problem with the man, but wasting a foreign squad slot on a third choice goalkeeper :face_palm:

Don't disagree, I'd like to think it would force the club to bring in a homegrown player (i.e. Celtic's left wing back Kieran Tierney) or promote from the Academy. Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise.

If it comes to it we don't have to register him. If our first two keepers are injured we are entitled to an emergency keeper which will mean we could register him anyway if the worst comes to the worst.

Quite often an experienced 3rd choice keeper takes on training roles, especially with the younger keepers so it might have something to do with that.

I doubt he'll ever get a game, but he's probably a good character to have off the pitch, Hilario was third choice and he's still with us, so clearly he's well liked at the club. A lot of us were nervous when we had to rely on Hilario for a few games, turned out to be a decent keeper and made some top saves against Barca, hopefully Eduardo can do the same, if called upon.
