David Luiz back at Chelsea

Featured Replies

Conte will tame him from the what's coming out of Chelsea so far the toughest preseason to players adapting to Cesc wanting to stay and fight Conte will get the best out of him Jose just didn't like him

Gutted, absolutely gutted he is back. He could be prosecuted under the Trades Descriptions Act for even calling himself a defender.

Never a player Conte wanted, never. Despite what he will have to come out and say to the media.

PSG must be dribbling in their pants that we were daft enough to buy him back. Says everything about the way our club is being run at the moment. A Joke.

With this confirmed, I'd expect a loan for Miazga to be forthcoming tonight as well ...

Miazga, plus van Ginkel, Piazon and Todd Kane of the "loan army", are the only ones whose fate has still to be announced.

Not a fan of the signing, but welcome back.

To be honest, shocked by how excited so many of Chelsea fans are about this. Guess his winning personality means more to people than his actual performances.

Anyway, welcome back David.

Passion desire will to win will to leave it on the pitch for Chelsea FC something we lacked last season

None of them have a clue, I don't see why so many people on here even bother to read these tweets.

an absolute f**king travesty of a signing.

but nevertheless, welcome back david. good luck.

he is the antithesis of any defender we had been linked with prior to this.  Previously it was all disciplined, Siere A, stoic, solid, defensively minded.  And then this mad hatter gets signed?

It reeks of desperation, and a club-over-conte signing.

AS you say, best of luck to him.  Hope he scores more than he is at fault for.

to be fair mate, so did Gab Marcotti, and he's usually someone at least ITK.

Totally agree that he is 100% not a conte signing or we would have been looking at him much earlier in the Window. Serious questions needs to be asked about the transfer strategy. The amount of money wasted on transfers that are now on loan could have been used to sign quality players for the first team as the club have no interest in promoting the youth team players and giving them a chance.

Piss poor positioning, rash challenges on the half way line, no marking at corners, running blindly towards the ball like a school kid, bad hair. All things we lacked last season.

I'm a little more on the fence about the transfer, but regardless of where one might fall on the "he's amazing/terrible" spectrum (or the value for money at this point in time), it's very telling that PSG was willing to sell on such short notice.

The only positive I can think of is that he wouldn't have cost anything because we would just cancel PSGs repayments.
