May 13, 20179 yr People laughed at us, people mocked us for bring David Luiz back, people clearly didn't watch him in his first seasons here either cause they act like he made mistakes every week. f**king loving that he's had the last laugh on those twats who said we were buying back a joke.
May 13, 20179 yr I'm delighted for him after he missed out on the opportunity to be a PL winner in 2014/2015 due to leaving the summer before that. Proved all his critics wrong when we re-signed him on deadline day.
May 13, 20179 yr Wow I just realized Side Show Bob is up there w/ competitions won playing for CFC - League Cup, European Super Cup, World Club Cup are the ones I noticed Side Show Bob hasn't won playing for CFC
May 14, 20179 yr What a player, what a guy!! I only have respect for him. Great person and a bit of a charachter. I love the fact he takes his profession seriously but he is not serious.
May 14, 20179 yr He still has the ocassional mistake in him, but as I said when we signed him, the good outweighs the bad imo. He brings leadership, grit, determination, experience, and his quality on the ball is world class for a centre back. It will be intesting to see if conte keeps faith with players like luiz, Cahill, moses etc. They may have not been the ideal players for him when he took over last summer, but they have ran through walls for him this season, which won't be lost on conte I'd imagine.

I agree with that and think he has a big heart in the right way. The only other thing I will add is that I read the Chelsea Management team said he was a good force in the dressing room.
May 15, 20179 yr God Garth Crooks should really do his research "I remember his first game against Fulham when he had a fantastic debut and scored the most impressive goal." The game was 0-0 Garth http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39915228
May 22, 20179 yr When he left in 2014 it was ingrained in my mind that he will never win the PL, even more so when we won it in the first year without him. For that reason it was actually quite surreal seeing him with the trophy.

May 22, 20179 yr "Loud was the laughter that greeted the announcement Chelsea were to re-sign David Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain for a sum estimated to be in the region of £34m last summer. With the benefit of a season’s worth of hindsight, only the most contrarian of his critics could argue the likeable Brazilian was anything other than a bargain. A defensive rock and natural leader who rarely put a foot wrong during Chelsea’s imperious title-winning campaign, David Luiz will forever be tainted by that semi-final humiliation at the 2014 World Cup, on an evening when the entire Brazil team had a collective meltdown and singling any one individual out for ridicule seemed rather unfair. With his distinctive hairstyle, he tends to stand out when he makes mistakes, allowing his detractors in the press box, TV studios and stadium stands to pounce on the increasingly rare occasions he gets things wrong. Their silence this season has spoken volumes. Nevertheless, despite all available evidence to the contrary, some still cling to the defeat against Germany in their efforts to argue the 30-year-old is a joke. While he prepares for the final assault on his fifth major honour across two short spells as a Chelsea player, one can’t help but wonder who’s laughing now?" https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/may/22/premier-league-2016-17-review-signing-of-the-season

Backed him to the hilt in his first stay here, sad that we sold him, glad about what he achieved this season. A combination of Luiz reigning in his impetuousness and Conte devising a system to mitigate his issues. Luiz's best years are ahead of him, and I hope we get another two or three top years from him yet.
May 23, 20179 yr I am more than happy to admit I got this wrong, he has been superb since returning and has proven to be a leader which is something I never expected. He has still got a mistake in him, and still dive in when he shouldn't at times, but he is much more of a defender than he was previously, while still keeping the ball playing side of his game.

May 25, 20179 yr I love Sideshow anyway but this is great http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40052702
May 25, 20179 yr “And, if you want to know about the money, I cut my salary to come back here,” he said. “But it’s OK, God has given me a lot, so I’m happy with this. Did I come back different? Always the same question … I think I try to improve as a person, as a brother, as a son, as a friend every day." He's much more suited to playing in the middle there than Cahill. I think Christensen would be good there too so Ake can play on the left
