Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2017/2018

Featured Replies

Not really nearest or dearest to anyone but me (nearest and second dearest) but can I just point out that Shrewsbury are top of league 1, 5 points clear,  undefeated with only 1 draw.  And they were one of the favourites for relegation having just escaped last year. Oh and plating good football  as well. Would be fantastic to see them in the championship.

City started really well last year didn't they? They thrashed a few teams and then as the season progressed, they slipped away. They look very good going forward, as always, but still pretty poor at the back.

Last season they unravelled after getting held by Celtic away in the CL.

Question, Bq, is it Shrews as in 'throws' or Shrews as in 'choose.'

My brother's old college mate was from Shrewsbury, and he always said Shroosbury. I'll be interested in Bq's answer.

Utd aren't going conservative. The way they're playing I can see them putting 4/5 past everton. Everton are too passive, just like they did against us.

Everton is sh*te. Went exactly the same way as the Spud. Sold a star and bought for quantity. How many times does it need to happen for people to learn?

Watching Matic doesn't make me miss him at all. I miss the squad depth but Bakayoko is already an upgrade. Matic offers very little defensively or offensively

What an idiot. Could have snatched a point but you make a really dumb mistake and tank your own team.

United are showing how important it is to have top class players on the bench. The amount of goals they have got from players coming off the bench is already pretty high.

It also helps when the opposition keep giving you goals. Everton are a disaster waiting to happen every game.

They seem to be getting worse and worse. I actually expected Koeman to be making them a better team, but they are going backwards. I don't think it was a smart move relying on a ageing Rooney to play every game up front on his own, he can't do that anymore. Then you have Williams at the back who's best days are well behind him, same with Jagielka and Baines.

Seriously Everton are so poor against top 6 opposition it's pure comical. At least when Martinez were in charge they used to give proper competition.

Koeman is showing himself to be extremely poor manager at Everton. He should have stayed at Southampton.

They seemed pretty conent to play two DMs and sit on a 1-0 lead for most of the 2nd half.

4-0 was pretty flattering, I'd like to see them play a good team before I class them above us. They've played nobody including CL competition so far.

The 20 minutes or so before utds second goal reminded me of so many games by us in Jose's last season, it looked a goal for Everton was coming as utd sat on a lead. Only de geas saves lot it at 1-0, then Williams Ballsed it right up.
