RLC is joining Derby too? Wow, they are gonna have a good team.

:laugh2:

Good one. I think RLC will get some game time with us this season and then next season we will upgrade when Mount returns to replace him!!

(Although ideally they will BOTH be first team regulars at some point)

The championship is a decent league. No, it's not Serie A or La Liga, but its' the best league to transition to the PL due to the physicality in England's leagues. Also, plenty of players from the Championship have been hyped up and spoken about going to top PL sides like Ruben Neves and Ryan Sessengon, so if Mount performs well, no reason he can't get a chance in the squad or a better move after next season. Dele Alli come from MK Dons, and Harry Kane was loaned to the lower leagues before making it at Spurs. If the player has the quality, I don't think it necessarily matters too much where they're loaned, unless it's some obscure league in the middle east or Africa haha.

Picked up a pre-season goal against Wolves.

Not that it means too much but hopefully the start of a successful season for him, Super Frank and Jody Morris

“He is going to go to the top, and I hate to say, to put pressure on him, but I’ve got so much belief in his quality, and this is the difference with a midfield player who ends up in the six-yard box. Too many midfield players don’t want to go that extra yard, he does, and then things like that happen and he finishes it."

I think it’s fairly natural for young players to sign new and improved contracts if they progress. Didn’t JT go from 500 to 5K to 25k in the space of 1 year.

Is this a public forum or a cult?

Sadly they wouldn't drink the kool-aid here.... trust me, I tried!

yes I know @enigma but this tweet is from a Chelsea tweeter so my tweet rules over your tweet :P

If Mount keeps scoring them like that, just popping in the box at just the right time and place (to the point you ask "do we need a striker?)", then he risks getting sued by his manager for copyright infringement because those are trademark Lampard-esq goals form a midfielder

 funny stuff bro

This all just feels so good. I hope Mount and Lamps can keep this up. God I miss Frankie in our midfield. Sometimes it's still a strange feeling when I see our line up without Lamps in there.

I watched it, mount looked comfortable but wasn't the right game for him to impress. But it's clearly the right league as he will be challenged hard and often. He will improve a lot of he plays this type of game every week.

Nice to get a classic Frank lampard goal, pot shot.

Nice to see Mount get a goal but that whole Derby team were incredibly poor last night, watching Keogh try to feed balls into the midfield was painful at times. Derby looked very much like a team without a game plan, hopefully Frank and Jody can get the cogs moving soon. Can we not send them a ball playing CB to use, where's JC-S nowdays?
