You're right. We can't seem to hold on to possession. I hope we get Drinkwater back before the United game because we actually could use him in that department. Fabregas has been w**k for most of the season. Morata also needs to be stronger. He falls down at the slightest touch by a defender behind him and it really breaks down our play. That's one area where Costa was really good. Conte needs to wean Morata off that natural instinct to go down immediately. He's obviously picked that up from La Liga. Needs to learn proper hold up play. You almost can't survive in this league as a striker if you don't have that.

Cesc is pants down in defense, but when it comes to passing the ball - he has had enough good passes, which we are not able to capitalize on. This is where we miss Costa the most. he could score one touch goals or bring the ball down, hold it and continue our offense. In this new season, we are not able to hold the ball down and easily get dispossessed and also there are no wondergoals. Things i wish Moratta would greatly improve upon.

First of all I'd like to say YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS WHAT A RESULT!!! Bats the hero from the bench again!!

But most importantly, can I just point out that some of the comments ive seen in this thread are just nothing short of a joke. The amount of stick ive seen Conte, Bakayoko and even Michy get is embarrassing. Even before the game started people were screaming at Conte for putting in Cahill. 

And the amount of morons saying how we should have kept Matic and Mikel instead of Bakayoko? Are you f**king kidding me? This is the 1st bad performance Baka has had since he signed for us, and the first thing I see is how we should have kept Matic and Mikel over him. Clueless idiots. Are you forgetting how sh*te Matic was last season? Or did you forget how poor Mikel has been for several years?

Not to mention the comments i've seen about Michy as soon as he was about to get subbed on.. As if Conte sent him out for us to lose the game on purpose? Honestly its a joke. Michy may be pretty poor when he starts games, but as an impact sub, he is by far one of the best players we have ever had. He never fails to make an impact in the last 30 or so minutes of a game when the other team has tired down, and his finishing is quality.

Morons acting like we're in the relegation zone when for pretty much the entire first half we dominated, minus the last couple minutes and also dominated since Michy equalised in the 60th min? I actually even saw a comment saying how buying Morata was a mistake? Like are you f**king kidding me. He's not even fully fit, and he's banged in plenty of goals yet he has 1 bad performance and all of a sudden he's a terrible signing that doesnt care about the club.

 

Saying that, it's fair to say that Cesc doesnt belong in a 2 man midfield, he just isnt cut out for it. And as good as Michy is at scoring goals as a sub, he's not good enough to start. For that matter Cahill shouldn't be starting either, i'd take Christensen over him any day of the week. If we are going to be playing a back 3 then is should be Rudiger, Christensen and Azpi with Luiz moving into a 3 man midfield with baka and Kante. Cesc and Michy are definite impact subs and shouldnt really be starting games imo.

Got away with that today - we were a shambles either side of half time, we conceded too many chances and not the first time the midfield was non existent. On today's evidence can see Drinkwater displacing Baka/Cesc when fit again.

Huge win today. That final 20mins could be our most important of the season. We looked completely clueless and disjointed until the equaliser. Watford were dominating the match and should be ahead by 2 or 3 goals.

 

Wasn't impressed with Baka for most of this match. That's 2 matches against Roma and Watford where we've been dominated in midfield. We miss Kante a lot, we control the midfield when he's playing the majority of times. I can see Kante and Drinkwater being our midfield 2 in games where we really need to dig in 

 

Anyway on to the next one, hopefully this was just a blip and this is the beginning of another good run.

Cesc is definitely the one getting replaced. Drinkwater-Cesc would be far worse.

I'm the opposite of Batshuayi's fan, but credit where it's due, Michy was the difference today. Whereas Morata had his worst appearance and spent most of his time falling around at a slightest touch and moaning to the ref, Batman looked the business from the moment he came on. If only he played that way regularly.

Also, I thought Rudiger was immense.

Credit to Marco Silva, what a great job he appears to have done with Watford, they played some lovely stuff. Makes you wonder what he could do with better players and a larger transfer budget.

Alonso needs a rest after all those minutes.

United losing 2-0 to huddersfield 

Had to listen on the radio and sounded like the Palace game, playing badly, loose passing, losing all the 50-50s again. The formation change seemed to work, so I wonder if we'll see it again next game.

God knows what happened to Bakayoko today. Conte will have a right go at him after rewatching the game. He played well in the first 30 minutes or so. But I'm confident he will get better with time. 

Nice to see Willian putting in a great performance. It's about consistency; can he replicate that over the next few games. 

I said this before the match started: Pedro will be the main man today. Great goal and assist for the equalizer. He played well in general. 

Conte got the line-up wrong again with Cesc/Cahill but I pray he tries out the 4-4-2 for the next game or two to see how it goes.

Luiz was superb, Azpi was good. Cesc was okay. Michy was the star.

Although we won which is the most important thing we are in trouble. Conte is in trouble. We need to win some games in a row to create a better mood.
