I'm not sure we deserved to win that game but I said at the start it didn't matter as long as we got 3 points, that's all that mattered today. 

 

Lets hope that this can be a turn of fortune for us and push on, I can't believe how relieved I am after a home win to Watford.

This is the definition of come back from death, my god they could have beaten us 4:1 and Conte will be facing the sacking music again. Credit to the man and players, turned it around with some desperation ( or inspiration) stuffs and won the match, and saved our season. There were under performing players, but all of them stepped up and put their best effort in the last 30 minutes.

And i stress again...bakayoko is 23..not 17...he came in as replacement for matic...not yeah itl take him 3 4 years to settle. Judge him on what he is today as he is a starter. He makes me miss diarra, mikel, tiago...forget the likes of essien, matic and lampard. He would look good in a newcastle shirt.

Very solid sprint to the finish! Subs of Batshuayi, Willian and Zappacosta huge difference makers. Lots of character today, unlike the end of Mourinho. Owned the final 30 minutes.

I disagree with NBC’s take just now that Watford was clearly the better team. No way. For the last 5-10 of the first half and maybe the first 15 of the second half, but other than that Chelsea was clearly better in my opinion.

f**k me it's stressful watching us play at the moment. 

what a relief. though it goes without saying that we were extremely (again, EXTREMELY) lucky to grab all the points. also as someone here pointed out, most of the times we looked hurried and unsure, i would say very uncharacteristic of us under Conte, worrying sign tbh. huge improvement needed.

Credit where it's due. Conte made the rights substitutions today. He didn't really have a choice regarding the midfield today, but I hope Bakayoko learns a lot from this performance, because it wasn't good.

Maybe we should go back to a back four. Put Azpi at lb, and see how Zappacosta does as rb.

Massive win for conte. 

We played okay 1st half but sat too deep towards the end, and conceded a sloppy goal. 

2nd half we started well, then for 20 mins we were all over the place, outrun, out fought, and out thought. 

Watford should've put us away tbh. 

So many things wrong with the performance today, but I'm glad Willian and Batshuayi made telling contributions as they have been particularly poor of late. 

Really need kante back, because we have nothing in midfield without him. 

Hopefully we have stopped the rot.

Not a great game by Bakayoko but a massive over reaction to people saying he should be binned off etc. 

Remember how good he looked when Kante was in the team. 

Our midfield is crap this season. That’s why we playing so much long ball. 

Great fight back, it was very much needed. Papering over the cracks for now and Conte will have to change the tactics. His trusted formation isn't working anymore. A change in tactics and formation will need to happen, we need to start dominating games again. Too often we are relying on Fabregas to hit a ball from deep and too often we are being put under pressure defensively. Possession isn't everything, but right now we need more of it.

Batshuayi stepped up today, it's great to see some fight in him, that will do his confidence a world of good. Willian finally did the right things too when he came on. 

Delighted to have salvaged a win from what briefly looked like it could be a humiliation.

The subs added impetuous and importantly some quality. But that can't hide the fact that there are clearly issues still. Bakayoko was beyond awful, Morata looked disinterested, Hazard was on work to rule. And the defence, keystone cops. Frankly amazing we managed to win really.

Watford got what they deserved for their shocking time wasting.

it doesn't hard to see that the midfield was struggling yeah, but i think a lot of people here was too extreme on judging him. he's definitely no Kante, but i think he did well considering he had to carry Cesc in a two man midfield

Not the match to judge Baka, he was an injury concern on the lead up and playing alongside Cesc is not ideal.

Did we have a meltdown on here earlier lol ? One thing we have got is a never say die attitude.Not at our best in the last 2 games but we didnt lie down.Kante is a massive miss but well done the subs.....UP THE CHELS !

we still have fighting spirit !!!! We still have character and guts!!! Supporting this club gets you through a rollercoaster of emotion.... BUT IT IS DAMN WORTH IT!!!!! Now fix the defence (Cahill, Azpi, Luiz and play Ruidger and Christensen), Play Pedro as a starter, and hope for Kante to come back ASAP!!! Up the chels!!!!
