Your unpopular opinion about Chelsea

It was Chelsea who attacked Spurs with tools it happened about nine o' clock.

Just remembered it was discussed in here at the time. From that it appears that you were wrong about who attacked who.  Specifically "Police believe it was either a prearranged fight organised over mobile phones and the internet or Tottenham hooligans had ambushed Chelsea fans "in their own backyard".

But anyone who's only Chelsea memories and experiences have been sat in front of a laptop or telly is a true fan.

I am 31, have been a fan of Chelsea since i was about 7, grew up in London but have only been to about 5 games, i did not have the money as a child to go very often and have spent most of my adult life living abroad, i now live in Australia, i watch every game, even if its on at 4am, yes i will stream it, but does that make me any less of a fan than you??

15/16 was 100% on Mourinho. The excuses made up for him that season and too an extent still are (board not 'backing' him the major one) are 1 million times worse than any ridiculous excuse that were made for Torres.

Which bring's me to my next point, i grew to seriously dislike Torres when he was a Chelsea player (the only player i ever have and hopefully ever will grow to dislike while they are at Chelsea), i felt his general attitude towards us was awful. If rumours were true that RDM had to talk to him on the plane home from Munich then...................

I don't rate Chalobah and Solanke and wasn't remotely bothered when either was sold/let go.

Hiddink did a very, very good job in 15/16.

Rafa was the correct appointment for the situation we were in at 2012 and he made Luiz and Hazard better players.

I'm a big advocate of Roman's sacking culture. All that were done in my opinion were the correct decision (yes i think in hindsight even Jose the first time, although that was mutual consent but still) and have been done with the good of the club in mind. If United were similarly decisive with sacking Moyes and LVG they would be in a lot healthier a position now.

We were robbed just as badly against Inter in 2010 as we were in Barca 2009 if not worse, all be it we didn't play as well.

I don't rate Ancelotti that highly and saw signs of trouble even in the double season. The storming end we had which involved the remarkable coincidence of Alex, Cole, Flo Mo, Lamps and Didier hitting the form of their careers at the same time papered over some cracks that became gaping holes the following season.

Luiz hasn't improved in his second spell compared to his first, he is what he always has been which is a very good defender prone to a few more mistakes than he should be. The only difference this time round is he is being coached properly.

Tell us how you really feel, go on...

It's so weird isn't it, we have a section of fans who seem to be desperate to play down everything about Chelsea, point out everything other clubs do is better, our players are rubbish etc. I just don't get it, are they doing it to prove they're amazing fans or something?

It says it was arranged then that they ambushed Chelsea? Wouldn't trust a report from the daily mail, it was deffo arranged, too many people involved and too tooled up for it not to be.

From an emotional pov appointing him was wrong on every level but i equally don't believe any other manager avalible at that time would have achieved the objective of 3rd and a trophy with that squad. Sometimes in football head must rule heart, and that was the major example.

Lighten up. This is just a thread that allows people to post an opinion that deviates from the required "halleluia" approach to anything Chelsea, without getting slaughtered.

Just now, Scott Harris said:

Winston Bogarde is a club legend

He's a coach at Ajax now isn't he, hopefully he's not involved in contract negotiations...

And I just posted my unpopular opinion, which is allowed isn't it?

Only if it's about Chelsea, us posters are 100% lovely, you know that

I loved it when we had Kerry leading the line, someone I could look up to as a fellow Englishmen.

Now I assume thanks to the excellent service of chaps like Makalele, Essien and Drogba I guess we now have many Black / Afro-Caribbean followers too.

My unpopular opinion? I'm a really handsome bloke, and I really don't get why the women of the world don't see that.

nevertheless,

1. I love Torres despite his really bad games for us and I always thought he could get better.

2. I don't hate Liverpool.

3. I hated Jose even when he was with us.

4. I don't think Hazard is Messi and Ronaldo level, don't think he'll ever be unless he scores at least 20 goals a season, and that won't happen in PL.

5. I'm a foreign supporter, yet I see myself as a huge supporter and even bigger than most english Chelsea supporters I've met (while traveling, at work, etc.) through my love and passion for the team.

Reading people here say we're not real fans is kinda funny, considering the fact that we have to catch a flight to London, pay 300%-400% extra prices for tickets, accommodation, transport, food, etc.. I don't think people from England know how difficult it is to support a foreign team. It's not easy, yet we still do it, and if we had the chance we (most of us) would do it week in-week out.

So if you're still in doubt, you might want to think again as not all of us have the chance to see our squad, that we love so much, all the time - but we still do our best.

I am going to regret posting this, but I like Celtic and do not like Rangers (perhaps because I am Catholic?).

I'm in the same boat, closer to it than most here. I can't stand the association we have with Rangers in terms of the 'Blues brothers'. I also feel it's a large reason why we aren't overly popular in Scotland.

The rangers fans on here will disagree with him me but I'd argue Rangers are the most hated team in Scotland, even a lot of Hearts fans I know dislike them more than Celtic!

I think Zhirkov was criminally underused in his time with us.

I feel like we're letting our want to not be ripped off stop us signing top quality players I.e. Pogba a couple of years ago, despite what people say, he's quality.
