August 8, 20178 yr Author Interested in what @foxedup makes of all the "Drinkwater" jokes. Mountain fresh I expect?
August 9, 20178 yr I don't believe for a second that when Conte was discussing with the Board his preferred transfer targets for the Summer that the name of Danny Drinkwater passed his lips. Other than to say ‘who the f**k is Danny Drinkwater, Michael?’
August 9, 20178 yr I don't think Emenalo and Conte are close enough for Michael to have the nerve to say Danny Drinkwater out loud.

He responds with "Yes please" They leave the room to speak to Leicester and Antonio is left sitting at the table wondering where his water is.
August 10, 20178 yr Home-grown(minimum 8): Cahill Fabregas Musonda Christensen Victor Moses Blackman (Should be kept as 3rd choice because of HG-status, Eduardo not needed) +2 open slots Remaining squad(14): Courtois Caballero Azpilicueta David Luiz Rudiger Marcos Alonso Kante Bakayoko Fabregas Pedro Willian Hazard Morata Batshuayi 3 new signings (Do NOT have to be Home-grown!) 1ST/2ND CHOICE WBR 1ST/2ND CHOICE WBL 4TH CHOICE MC Also, according to Skysports, it looks like West Ham are interested in Carvalho, who wants to play in the Premier League. If Bakayoko is as injury prone as I fear he is, it would be worthwile paying his £40mill release clause.
August 10, 20178 yr Blackman is on loan at Sheffield United. Unless you meant for future seasons, of course. Edited August 10, 20178 yr by Gem

As long as we have no more than 17 non HG/U21 players we are fine!

That's on top of your squad of 25. Your squad of 25 can have a maximum 17 non-HGs. Of course you can have less than 25 if you want, as we will surely have. Edit: Currently, by my estimation, we have a squad of 17 or 18, excluding U21s, which is pitifully small. Edited August 10, 20178 yr by Davey Baby

August 11, 20178 yr Reports this morning that we tabled a £15m bid for him some weeks ago but haven't followed that up...Leicester want more like £30m for him...thanks but no thanks...
August 11, 20178 yr They wouldn't have accepted 15m even if the prices hadn't gone crazy this year. Just strikes me as pointless even bothering to offer that much, and just drags it out even longer before the club eventually decide to offer roughly what Leciester would want, or give up and move onto someone else.
August 11, 20178 yr Drinkwater not playing tonight and not on the bench either. Any reason for that other than negotiations on his exit from Leicester?
