Its not just about displacing Alonso (who btw has been great) but giving him rest for FA cup games or other PL games before lets say the barca CL games. Basically a better back up.

We didn’t need to piss away money for a 3rd LB to do that. Kenedy/Rahman could have done that just fine.

Alonso not that great either, its only his fantastic free kicks that make him look better than he is. If i remember correctly Fiorentina fans weren't exactly disappointed he was leaving to us where as Roma fans seem to rate this lad.

Looks average at best. And whoever said Marcus is just all about free kicks is clearly just taking the piss. Good job he's a Chelsea player because we'd be most definitely sweating our bullocks off it wasn't for some of his goals this year. Strong candidate for Chelsea player of the year.

Rome to London - 2 hour travel. He should be in London around 6/7 pm or so taking in to account time taken driving to and from the airports. 

How are people calling him average? He was only 2nd to Sandro last season. Some say on par. His dribbling and pace is better than Alonso who never takes his man on and passes backwards or sideways every time. Sick and tired of a wingback not taking their man on and being more creative down the flank. Alonso can score from free kicks whoop dee doo too bad that's not 100% guaranteed as he also misses sometimes. Emerson when back on form (hopefully) and fully fit will add another dimension to our attack.

WOW 2 hours from rome to london. Europe is absolutely amazing, wish i was born there
