September 15, 20187 yr We know who's getting the most coverage already Will be interesting to see how much coverage we get on MOTD tonight.

September 15, 20187 yr That's 9 goals in 5 games from the wingers now ... good stuff !! Just need to ramp up the output from the guy between them and the guys behind them and we could be getting our goal record back come the end of the season :-)
September 15, 20187 yr Worst performance under Sarri so far in my opinion.........it's great to be able to say that and still win 4-1 though Hazard and Giroud were excellent, the rest were a little off the pace. Those two made the difference for me. Edited September 15, 20187 yr by Scott Harris

September 15, 20187 yr Can a Chelsea fan with a blue tick please tweet Rio “Chelsea aren’t on Utd’s level” Ferdinand and ask him how he likes looking up at the blues on top of the league

September 15, 20187 yr Always good beating a Neil Warnock side, he suits Cardiff down to a tee as their support is absolutely vile. Was beautiful seeing Hazard celebrate the second in front of them, despite the objects thrown at him for good measure. What a nice bunch. We're improving week in week out which is good to see and when we needed to switch things on after going behind, some of the link up play was a joy to behold. Was impressed with Barkley when he came on and not much can be said about Hazard that hasn't been said already, best player in the league and it isn't even close.
September 15, 20187 yr Top of the table. What a turn around in that match? Some great goals. We look good under Sarri.
September 15, 20187 yr Not bad. 5 out of 5. Not bad. Congratulations to Hazard. Must be man of the match if not of the year. Not bad at all.

September 15, 20187 yr great game. Sloppy at start of both halves, but we played some good football and it was important to get the 3 points after the international break. Hazard is going to get a hat full this season.

He played fine. Criticise him by all means when he f**ks up but "giving away throw in unnecessarily"????? f**k me, that really is stretching abuse of a player out of blind hate! 28 minutes ago, mojo said: I just wanted to write wiloian has been sh*t sonfar and there goes a penalty Just as well you didn't or you would have looked a right twat, wouldn't you? To be honest, a comfortable win, with total domination and all some people can think to do is bitch-whine about their own personal general scapegoat. You do wonder about these people.
September 15, 20187 yr Good win, some nice football on the eye but also a bit sloppy at times. Having Giroud up top gave us the focal point for our attacks. He might not score loads but the space he creates along with his hold play should mean that Morata has now returned to the position he is best at. There will be more testing matches ahead and we do have to tighten up a bit in defence but the overall signs are good.

He's very underrated.
September 15, 20187 yr Pretty happy with that win in the end. More than a few shades of 2013/14, with Luiz helping to concede a sloppy early goal before Hazard helped Chelsea fight back. I will give some credit to Colin though - rather than parking the bus he came and tried to bring the game to Chelsea. It even arguably worked at first, since they took the lead. If Cardiff play like that throughout the season, I won't actually mind them staying up, though I think they don't have the requisite quality to do so regardless. Their fans and manager make them somewhat difficult to like though. Other thoughts: 1) Our play was sedate during the first 15 minutes, culminating in that Sol Bamba goal. Having watched the footage, it is true that Luiz was a bit sloppy in simply jogging in the ball's general direction, but it also seemed that nobody really picked up Sol Bamba at all so he's not solely to blame (Jorginho again showing that he's not great defensively). Kepa also seemed reluctant to come out to collect the cross, maybe because of communication issues, but maybe because he isn't as dominant aerially as Courtois. 2) That goal seemed to spark new life into Chelsea, but it seemed like one of those frustrating days where we'd squander a million chances and lose points as a result, but Hazard put an end to that notion in due time. Rudiger also deserves credit for sparking it - his pass to Giroud from deep was pinpoint, but Giroud's one-touch pass to Hazard was sumptuous and Hazard's goal was even better. Excellent play all round. 3) The second goal was another excellent team goal, featuring some play we've already seen this season. Jorginho makes a forward pass to Alonso as he goes on one of his marauding runs (ala against Arsenal), Pedro displays smart movement in moving to the channel to collect Alonso's pass before squaring it to Giroud, who then plays another one-touch goal to Hazard to finish nervelessly again. 4) The quality of our passing seemed to decline after Kovacic went off - I hope he's fit in due course for we will need him to help retain the ball against an aggressive, confident Liverpool side. Barkley did show why I regard him as a greater goal threat though - he was always looking to bomb forward, not unlike Lampard used to. 5) Willian did well as a sub - won a seemingly legit penalty and scored one of his periodic long range pearlers. Is this the best way to use him against lesser teams - bring him on when the other side is behind and looking for an equaliser so he can burst through on counter-attacks? 6) Hazard's hat-trick was well-deserved. His mazing runs, attempts to set up other players and his three goals make this a 10/10 performance. The sooner he signs a new contract the better. 7) Our defensive lapses will of course be a worry against Top 6 sides, but I maintain that we have enough firepower (and possession) to score a lot of points against lesser sides and so I think we'll compile a very reasonable points tally in the end.
